This Sicilian white is quite aromatic with jasmine, acacia, lemon peel, nectarine and apricot notes. Flavors echo the nose with more jasmine, white peach, nectarine, apricot, white tea and tropical melon. The perfume carries through in the mouth but it stays refreshing due to the pleasant lemon/orange peel bitterness and a salinity that counters the fruit. Everything stays lifted and clean. This delightful white is just over medium in weight with integrated acidity.

Aromas are of lily, lemon, baked pear, apple and leesy notes with soft oak. The palate is refreshing with golden apple, golden raisin, chamomile tea and a creaminess that is reminiscent of pineapple panna cotta.

This Finger Lakes Sauvignon Blanc gives aromas of green melon, green currants, starfruit and florality. It is medium weight, crisp and fresh with melon, green pear, green apple, pink grapefruit, sweet lime, lime pith, starfuit and parsley notes.

Apple, nectarine, pineapple, and tea berry. The palate has darker notes like rustic cider, nuts, poached pear and honey, with a bit of peach and cream.

The nose opens with very pretty aromas, to include floral notes, white pepper, ginger, and melon. The mouthfeel is persistent and clean with fresh lemon, key lime and yellow plum fruit. This chardonnay is fragrant and attractive with ripe pineapple, apple, lemon and talc or chalky minerality with jasmine. The palate has good density with some lees contact but no malolactic fermentation and is medium plus in body with Asian pear, peach, and a honey note. The finishes clean, crisp and with some vanilla.

This Italian white offers nice density and roundness with ripe fruits such as apricot and lychee. There is a touch of spice and almond in this juicy, medium-plus bodied wine, along with balanced acidity. Great value!

Aromas of stone fruits, citrus and some chalk/talc on the nose.  Just off-dry and beautifully balanced, this delicious crowd pleaser offers juicy peach and citrus flavors with lingering minerality.

This is a classic and well-made Gewurztraminer from a cool vintage. Aromas of lychee, ginger skin, and honeysuckle greet the nose of this medium-bodied wine and carry through to the bright and flavorful palate where lychee, white flowers, ginger, pear, and light brown spices add complexity. It is dry with integrated acidity and round texture.

From the producer: Pale yellow colour. The nose shows the strong limestone influence: mineral, stone driven, citrus fruits and some white fruits (peach) after some aeration. The wine fermented in a large recent oak cask (foudre) and was on full lees until bottling. The palate is quite strict, bone dry, with a racy sapid acidity that gives a juicy texture on the finish. The wine has a nice concentration, but because it is bone dry with a ripe acidity, it feels elegant and delicate.

Aromas of licorice and leather mix with wild berries, spice, and forest floor to introduce this wine. The palate is ripe with dark plum and black cherry flavors alongside crushed rocks and chocolate. It is medium plus in body with medium acidity and velvety tannins.

Made in an Old World style with moderate extraction, this wine displays a balance of complex aromatics and flavors including plenty of ripe black fruits and candied fruits along with hints of sandalwood and earth.

Deep red fruits, black currants, blackberry, and black cherry, as well as black olives merge with bittersweet chocolate, espresso, and tobacco notes. This has character and personality without being overbearing.

Between medium and full-bodied, this offering from Southeastern Spain is chock full of mulberries, cooked plums and raspberries with a sprinkling of cocoa. Baking spices and a hint of underbrush linger through the finish.

Aromas are predominantly red fruited–cherry, raspberry, plum and spice box. There’s some fresh fig as well as spiced sweet cherry. This is a seamlessly textured wine with fine tannins. It’s medium-plus in weight with raspberry and raspberry coulis along with bramble; juicy acidity keeps it balanced.

Aromas of macerated black fruits are spiced with coffee and white pepper notes. This is just over medium weight with black raspberry, black cherry, plum and blackberry fruit mixed with forest floor notes such as savory herbs (oregano), earth, roots and bark. This is ripe and easy drinking with supple tannins and juicy acidity.

This wine is very well done but not big in style with plum, black cherry and red currant. The texture is clean, medium bodied and integrated. The finish delivers a pleasant amount of smoke.

An aromatic wine with lots of complexity, floral with pressed roses, spiced plum, licorice and blackberry. The palate shows come baking spice notes such as clove, licorice, and black pepper. More toast and macerated red cherries to finish. It is medium plus and drinking well now.  This is a classic, example of Chateauneuf. 

Aromas of mulling spices and Moroccan souk spices combine with dark berries, tar and smoke to entice you to this Pinot Noir. It is between medium and full bodied with considerable concentration, yet it is not heavy. Macerated red and black cherries join pressed rose, mulling spices, bittersweet cacao nibs and a note of tar. The tannins are velvety and acid is integrated. With air, spiced black currants and smoke evolve on the long finish.

Aromas of fresh and smoky blackberries and plums. On the palate, this is medium weight or slightly less in body, with flavors of black currants, blackberry seeds, cherries, earth and smoke. It is medium in acid with fine tannins. This red is silky and fresh… the ultimate picnic wine! Note: This is a liter bottle.

The grape Pinotage is a cross between Pinot Noir and Cinsault. Aromas of grilled plum, blackberry, black currant and a little bark can be found on the nose. This medium-weight wine has flavors of black plum, cherry, and a hint of purple fruit. It is nicely balanced with medium acidity and sleek tannins.

Earthy, savory aromas lead to a palate supported by fine tannins and red fruit. Strawberry coulis, red raspberry, and smokey tea notes round out the palate of the supple, medium-bodied wine.

Aromas are complex, with smoke, raspberry compote, red currant candy, chocolate, and spice. The palate offers a variety of red berry fruit, lightly cooked so it releases juice. Black cherry and cassis are also present, along with toast, spice, and mineral notes. The wine is pure, with well integrated tannins and acidity, and deft on its feet for one so large. Full bodied with a long finish.

Aromas of red and black cherry, spice and cocoa. On the palate notes of blackberries, black pepper, cherry and plums are supported by the fine tannins. This medium-plus body wine is elegant with a silky texture. 

Lovely aromatics of tart forest fruits like cranberry, currants, red raspberry. There is a touch of earth as well. The palate is clean and mineral driven with lifted acid and balanced with some black tea notes.

Mixed berries on the nose and the palate. There is nice spice integration with medium tannins and integrated acidity with darker fruit like plum, black cherries, and blackberries.

This wine is ruby red with purple highlights. Fresh and fruity, it is a perfect sipper and refreshing even in warmer weather (try it with a slight chill!). The nose shows red berry, blue fruit, and spice, while the palate is medium bodied with food-friendly acidity.

The finish in this delicious "baby Barolo" is long and structured.

The nose gives aromas of red and black cherry, baked raspberry pie, cranberry, meat, garrigue and smoke. It smells Italian! The palate is medium weight with strawberries, berry seeds, violets, mineral and camp fire. It has a softer structure than you might expect from Nebbiolo, with integrated acidity and tannins. A long, balsamic finish completes the package.

Aromas have medium strength, offering lightly earthy cherry and raspberry, with touches of soil and bark savoriness. The palate, too, is medium (in weight and acidity); like the nose, it provides small red fruits with bark and stem notes. It offers Barbera typicity and is great for those who want a touch of earth.

Aromas include dried cherries, plum, blackberry, sandalwood, and baking spice. Medium-bodied and rustic with rich and ripe mulberry, dark cherry, and licorice on the palate. Tannins are velvety and offer lovely structure; touches of cocoa and spice linger on the finish.

Les Hérétiques is a rustic wine, speaking strongly of its terroir. The nose offers spice, cedar, and black cherry fruit, and touches of iron/earth. The tannins are quite present but well-integrated with more black cherries, spice and a lingering meaty quality.

This is essentially the Chateau Maris Les Planels (Syrah-based wine) without any sulfites added. (it says "sans souffre" on the neck of the capsule). The name means "to know how to age." In actuality, it is a wine that one should probably drink within 3 years of vintage since it has no sulfite protection, but boy, is it drinking beautifully. Medium plus body, rich and ripe, velvety, meaty, with savory undertones. There's nothing overripe here, yet it's seamlessly saturated. If you're into "natural wine," here's a superior example. 

Raspberry, strawberry and red cherry with some garrigue. The palate is medium bodied but ripe and savory with soft dark chocolate, integrated smoke and some black pepper.

This wine gives mostly red fruits on the nose -- pomegranate, strawberry and raspberry, along with vanilla. It is medium plus in weight and quite rich with ultra-soft tannins that show it is in its prime drinking stage now. There are flavors of red cherry, raspberry, plum, strawberry coulis, licorice, vanilla and a touch of sassafras. You'll be talking about its texture though -- the integrated acidity and seamless tannins are a joy. What a value!

Abundant enticing aromas introduce this wine: raspberry and black cherry fruit mingle harmoniously with Moroccan spices, coffee, garrigue, savory black olives and wood spice. Aromas are high-toned with fresh herbs, berries, and evergreen.  The palate is medium-bodied, its cassis and black cherry supported by mineral notes, more herb and drying tannins. There's a refreshing succulence to this red with its snappy acid playing foil to the Mediterranean fruit.

Ripe red fruits, mulling spices, and underbrush open on the nose. This medium-bodied wine is complex with round tannins and integrated acidity. Black cherry, black caps, and herbed raspberry jam segue into light notes of underbrush and bramble on the finish.

Aromas of walking through the woods and picking blackberries. The nose has dark plum, blackberry, cassis with mocha slight dusty earth and some black pepper. The palate is integrated with a long finish, delivering flavors of licorice, espresso, vanilla and thorough dark fruits.

Aromas of raspberries, blackberries intertwine with mineral nuances on. Dark berries on the palate are supported by more minerality and touches of baking spice and earth; it is medium-bodied with supple tannins.

The nose gives strawberry, cranberry and red cherry cordial with some earthy soil component. The flavor is of summer strawberries, fresh bright raspberries with balanced acidity and body.

This wine is both structured and jammy with red fruits of raspberry and strawberry candy along with a touch of raisin joining woodsy, cocoa, coffee and licorice flavors. It is medium plus in body with moderate acid and tannin.

Medium-strength aromas of plum, red fruit, bramble, and toasted barrel. The palate is red-fruited-ripe cherry, cranberry, red plum, and raspberry. Medium acidity and medium-plus tannins provide structure to this fresh, tart, and lively wine. The finish offers tart fruit and smoke and barrel notes. A solid wine despite the difficult vintage.

This medium-bodied red blend is lightly earthy with mixed cherries, plums, rose, black pepper, light smoke and minerality. It has moderate tannins and fresh acidity.

Medium aromatics with black cherry, blackberry, and an herbaceous quality. Both red and black cherry greet you on the palate with some cooked berry, black pepper, and spice. The fruit is present and balanced with a light amount of savory bark. Medium-bodied with medium-plus acid, excellent with food.

The aromas express themselves with elegance, releasing delicate floral and volatile notes, peony, mingling with greedy aromas of strawberry, black fruit and chocolate. The palate is crisp, fresh, with a peppery, spicy tone, highlighting the fruit and milky notes, leaving a tender, rich and persistent finish.

Notes of blackcurrants, plums, Provençal herbs, tomato leaf and balsamic are found on the nose. Medium to full-bodied, with amazing black fruits and spice, the purity of its Mediterranean upbringing is evident in this wine. The aromas translate into similar flavors on the palate, which is supple and wonderfully integrated.

Aromas of black cherry, raspberry, black pepper and garrigue unfold from the glass. The wine is juicy with sweet ripe fruits, especially red cherry and blackberry, accompanied by light spice and herbs. It is medium weight, clean and supple with bright acidity. Very tasty and versatile!

This is a nice value with great texture and ripe balance with flavors of blackberry and black currants with a long finish. Vibrant, with a fresh core of cherry and cassis notes backed by anise, apple wood and garrigue hints through the finish. Nice underlying juiciness throughout. The nose of this wine combines aromas of cooked strawberries and dates along with fresh red fruits. The palate is medium plus in body with concentrated red raspberry and strawberry confit flavors, silky tannins and moderate acidity. At the same time, it presents both clean and pure.

Richly perfumed with cooked berries, violet and slight earthiness. Plum and ripe black cherry on the juicy/silky palate. Red berries and cocoa linger on the finish.

Rich scents of violets, rose petals, black and red cherries, and so much blueberry! Additional aromas of licorice, black pepper and minerality lead to flavors of  plums, balanced by structuring, fresh acidity and minerality.  It is medium body with a medium finish. This is a savory wine with structure and black fruit. There are tar-like earth aromas and floral notes with classic red cherry, raspberry and plum. The palate is not tart but has good cool-climate acidity; it is medium weight with medium-plus tannins.

Cool-climate Cabernet Franc that is unoaked. It was originally produced in a stainless steel tank #23 (T23) and remained in the Lamoreaux line-up as a classic expression of the region without the interplay of oak or oak tannins.

This plush and saturated wine gives a range of purple fruits such as plums, black cap raspberries, cherries and mulberries. The fruit is joined with some baking spice, cinnamon, bramble and black tea. Structuring acidity provides framework for this medium-plus bodied wine. It ends with a cherry note on the finish.

The aromas are of cranberry, stewed plums and light vegetal scents. This cru Beaujolais is medium wieght with flavors of juicy plums, pomegranates, red cherries, and even tomato sauce! It has some minerality (think iron or brick dust) and is finely tannined with medium acidity.

This wine smells of stewed red and black cherries, cocoa and tomato leaf with smoke and earth on the nose. On the palate, it combines savory flavors, pepper and mocha with black fruits. It is quite supple with lightly dustry tannins, crisp acidity, good depth and not-over-the-top Camenere flavors.

The 2019 Sinister Hand displays spicy, dark, and savory characteristics. The exuberant nose has raspberry aromas with a hint of vanilla, while the lively palate has a soft juicy texture and a well-balanced acidity. Chewy tannins, black cherry, and a hint of toasty French oak round out the vibrant finish.

Aromas and flavors of black cherry, blackberry, smoke, dried herbs and graphite. It is medium in body with smooth tannins and refreshing acidity. The finish is medium with black raspberry notes. This is a textbook Blaufrankisch that can be served chilled.

This biodynamic wine is ripe and purple fruited but not overripe. Some dark chocolate shavings, black olives, mulberry and blackcap aromas with some Mediterranean herbs and graphite. This wine is alluring, you want to dive into it and once you do you discover the supple texture, something savory, worn leather and smooth tannins that could do with some more ageing. The palate has white pepper, vanilla, and baked raspberry. It is deep, brooding, and not as ripe tasting as it smells; this is a great additional to any table.

Aromas of black cherry and cracked black pepper interlace with notes of old barrel and earth. The palate delivers raspberry, cherry, red plum and lingonberry with black pepper and cinnamon. This mildly earthy wine is reminiscent of a warm forest day with wild berries and plums. Forest floor, old oak spiciness, pressed violets and raspberry can be found in the scent. This is an aromatically old world italian. This is classic rustic barn and earth but with some tart red fruit like cranberries and currants coming through. There is fresh red cherries, light floral notes of red roses and red raspberries. The palate matches its aromas with an almost orange zest note.  The tannins here are persistent, lingering and round. The acid is refreshing and balances nicely with the higher alcohol content. This wine could age an additional 20 years but it showing some complex notes already.  

This appassimento wine uses dried grapes to concentrate the flavors. It is soft and supple in texture with velvety tannins on a medium frame. Stewed black and red fruits are accompanied by light tobacco and spice and a touch of smoke. Notes of blackberry, black cherries, and dates follow through to spices and dried herbs on the finish.

Blackberry, black plum, cassis, grapes, black pepper, fig and dark earth with mocha are aromatic on the nose. This dry, fuller-bodied wine has notes of black currants, dried fruit spicy white pepper, cocoa, cola spiciness and a touch of smoke on the palate with a long finish that ends in chocolate.

This is very clean in style with a slight chalkiness, fine tannins and good density. There is no oakiness or spice to detract from the purity, allowing this wine to be all the more quaffable.

You’ll find smoky aromas with black currant and black cherry fruit as well as some barrel notes. Less smoky in the mouth, this gives pure black cherry fruit along with light toast and minerality. Its medium weight with smooth tannins and great balance, showing both ripeness and some lifting, tart black fruits.

Aromas of cooked black berries, black olives, rosemary, yeast and rye bread jump out of the glass. This wine is medium-plus in body with ripe, but not heavy fruits of black currants and black cherries mixed with rosemary and thyme. It is juicy and fresh with a light oak influence.

This aromatic wine gives cherry and strawberry, fruit leather, spiced and cooked cherries with pomegranate juice, blood orange and some incense notes. The palate has a bit of mulling spices and a touch of dehydrated fruit with good balance, easy texture and a velvety smoky finish.

One of the leading domaines in Bandol, Domaine Tempier is, without a doubt, the most visible producer from the appellation in the U.S. marketplace today. I think this is well-deserved (and a good thing for Bandol), as the wines are at the top of the hierarchy in terms of quality. This deeply colored wine offers powerful aromas of mulberry, mocha, sweet wood, and damson plum. In the mouth, it is juicy with moderate plus acidity. The aromas are echoed in the flavors—plum, dark chocolate, smoke, mulberry, and sweet wood. Tannins are fine-grained and nearly invisible, but they provide just enough structure. This wine is fragrant as soon as the cork leaves the bottle! The aromas are beautifully integrated, with plum, bramble, small dark fruits, and dried herbs including oregano and sage. This is quite aromatic, offering sweet wood, dark fruit--blackberry, blueberry, spiced cherry, plum--and cedar, all nicely integrated, with each sniff providing something more and different. The palate is equally integrated and complex. The fine tannins and moderate acidity are lovely, supporting and melding with the fruit. The fruit itself is dark berries, patient and thorough, subtle and a real presence. This is a wine one wants always on the wine rack to be enjoyed again and again. In this bottling from Yves Leccia, the French import Grenache—called Elegante in Corsica—takes center stage, offering fragrant notes of lavender spiced with balmy Mediterranean brush. A splash of the indigenous Niellucciu completes the blend, adding some muscle to this savory, floral red whose sunny island flavors come into focus when slightly chilled.

This is a pretty wine with pink grapefruit, grapefruit pith and tart red currants. Done in a pet nat style this is crisp and refreshing.

This recent additional to our cava lineup has bosc pear and yellow apple with light toasty notes that mix with an underlining floral aspect. The palate is slightly rounded with beeswax, wet stone and lemon rind. The palate does deliver more fruit like peach and quince with a mineral note lingering.

Aromas of orchard fruit and minerals greet the nose. The wine is medium weight with orchard fruits, tart white fruits, citrus zest and stone. It is juicy, fresh and lively with a nice balance between fruitiness and minerality.

Gorgeous pink color with a nose of raspberry, ripe strawberry and cherry aromas. The perfume is gorgeous and yet, has a delicacy to it. This wine is ultra-elegant with pinpoint bubbles and finesse. The fruit is ripe and red fruited--raspberry, cherry, pomegranate, strawberry, cranberry--all the reds!  It is dry and minerally, yet generous with its fruit. Such balance means that your bottle will quickly disappear!

This is a softly rounded and well-integrated sake that is fruit forward. In addition to the lemon custard, black pepper and papaya described by the sake brewery, you'll also find flavors of green tropical fruit, lime, white miso, jerk, kombu, tofu skin and salinity. 

Sparkling and semi sweet cider with aromas of bosc pear, peach cherry blossom and nectarine. This is a burst of juicy and round ripe fruit with some minerality on the back end. 

A champagne method style cider with  a moderate bouquet of blueberry and blackcurrant and blackcap notes, yellow soft baked apple and some lime zest. The palate is semi-dry and crisp with soft tannin structure there is some ripe peach flavor and cherry pit. There is a distinctive crab apple grip to the finish and is tart and approachable. 

This cider is made entirely from wild pippin apples according to the traditional method, using wild fermentation. A precise and extreme example of terroir, it is aromatic and austere with aromas of citrus and sage. This is full and lively with hay, bergamot, and cucumber. The palate gives soft smoky earth flavors and minerality.
