Fermented and aged without flor, resulting in a fresh wine, but also complex with a  fleshy mouth feel.  Citrus, yellow apple, salinity and honey with notes of almond and spice. An exciting new varietal for the Finger Lakes region. One of the oldest vinifera varieties. DNA research shows that prominent varieties such as Riesling and chardonnay trace their roots back to Savagnin.
