On the nose aromas include rose petals, vanilla, old-world wood and tomato leaf with dark, ripe berries and black cherry. The palate is nicely integrated with supple tannin structure, delightful medium-plus acidity and lingering elements of dried black cherry, smoke and earth. The finish is long and reminiscent of mixed berry pie.
