From the get-go, you can tell this wine is full bodied. Aromas are of vanilla, brioche, apple and apricot. The palate is broad and all-encompassing, offering richness and satiety. This wine’s aromas range from elegant and light to concentrated and perfumed. Notes of lemon, lime, apricot preserves, freshly cut hay, vanilla and macadamia cut through a distinctive salinity. On the palate the texture is elegant with white tea, vanilla, stone fruit, a touch of petrol and light florals.

The aromas for this Sauvignon Blanc are densely stone-fruited with candied peach, nectarines and apricot and fresh squeezed lemon juice. The palate is consistent in its ripeness adding marmalade and orange peel to more stone fruit and a touch of bitter herbs on the finish.

The nose presents dried yellow apricot, peach and freshly sliced pear with honeysuckle, crushed stone and incense joining in. Flavors of crème brûlée, jasmine blossom and fresh apricots continue the opulence, yet the orchard fruits are nicely balanced by minerality and hints of almond. This full-bodied white is structured, providing interesting contrast to its density.

Aromas of pear and apple continue through onto the palate, where they are joined by hints of macadamia, ginger joining and quince. This is medium-full in weight with integrated acidity and a longer finish of apricot and yellow plum.

Aromatics include granny smith apples, table grapes, white flowers, and stony minerality. The palate follows with lime, melon, anise, white peach and a touch of leesy creaminess, rounded mouthfeel and medium body.

This white Burgundy is dry, but the fruit is ripe and gives richness, offering flavors of candied apple, sweet apple and peach.  There is a touch of smoke and lemon pith balancing the orchard notes. The texture is round and dense.

This Finger Lakes wine combines fruity notes of apple and pear with lightly savory, nutty and mineral flavors. It is medium to more in body, and bone dry with moderate acidity.

Aromas include baked apples, honey and almond notes. Medium in body with a round profile; slightly floral with apricot and orange peel flavors and touches of lanolin on the finish. This lower-acid white makes a nice alternative to Viognier or Chardonnay.

The wine presents aromas of peach, citrus, apricot pit, petrol and wet stone. On the palate, honeyed pear, peach and citrus combine with citrus and wet slate for a dry, minerally finish.

This is a wine which shows both density and sharp precision. The flavors range from lemon and lemon peel to flower blossoms, nectarine, white peach, quince and apricot. There is zingy tartness as well as round and chewy elements in this complex Riesling. Some lightly singed fruit peel, minerality and stone combines with lime as well. Quality farming and winemaking is evident.

The palate is medium plus in weight with succulent orchard fruits (apple, peach, pear) and some tropical notes (passionfruit underripe mango). Citrusy acidity keeps it juicy and the texture is a nice balance between crisp and fleshy. This is bright, clean and a great, all-purpose wine!

Fresh aromas include lemon verbena, wet-stone minerality and delicate floral notes. The citrus shines through on the palate providing fresh acidity with good lift. There are flavors of underripe pear, clean linen, alpine meadow herbs and flowers in this classic Alpine wine.

Here's a wine from the Arbois (eastern France in the Jura region between Burgundy and Switzerland) that offers an enjoyable amount of oxidation and age. Medium weight and more, with some bruised apple, cooked quince, hay and dried herbs creating a wine with interest and complexity, especially with its lightly tannic texture. The finish turns slightly funky with an oxidative-cider-yeasty edge that stays in check. This is classic Arbois.

Classic and pretty aromas of flowers, green pear, melon and lime blossoms introduce you to this wine. It has the lightest touch of sweetness, but the zippy and clean flavors keep it incredibly refreshing. Melons, pears, peppercorn and minerality can be found on the palate.

Aromas of apple, pear, vanilla and butterscotch are present on the nose. The  palate delivers notes of apples, baked apples, poached pears, lemon curd and vanilla bean, along with butterscotch. It is concentrated, clean, well balanced between creaminess and crisp acid. There are hints of oak, mostly a touch of caramel merging with the fruit. This is just over medium weight.

This estate-grown Cayuga Lake Pinot Gris begins with aromas of stone fruits, both fresh and baked.  The palate is medium to full in weight, creamy and rich with ripe orchard fruits like pear, apple and apricot. The wine is just barely dry with bright acidity to balance it.

This wine shines consistently year after year. You'll find the aromatics of both grapes in this wine--melon and citrus from the Sauvignon Blanc, apricot and flowers from the Viognier. From the producer: Generously fruit-forward and refreshingly light, the Riesling Semi-Dry displays our signature varietal's natural verve. Sourced from early picks in vineyard blocks surrounding Seneca Lake, it offers aromas of wildflower and orchard fruit against a lean, citrus backbone.

From the producer: Pale yellow colour. The nose shows the strong limestone influence: mineral, stone driven, citrus fruits and some white fruits (peach) after some aeration. The wine fermented in a large recent oak cask (foudre) and was on full lees until bottling. The palate is quite strict, bone dry, with a racy sapid acidity that gives a juicy texture on the finish. The wine has a nice concentration, but because it is bone dry with a ripe acidity, it feels elegant and delicate.

Aromas of red berries, black cherry, plum, and dried cranberry, with a touch of spice and white pepper. The berry notes continue on the palate with more herbal and earthy notes joining in as well as savory hints of smoked meats. This wine is well balanced and fresh with medium acidity, some density, and fine tannins.

Concentrated aromas of blueberry compote, cassis and black plum with savory notes that make you want to dive into the glass; think licorice, tobacco, roasted tomatoes, mint and BBQ sweetness. The aromas are upheld on the palate with a smoky/meaty note, roasted red pepper, more raspberry and cherry, equally complex tertiary notes of leather, bitter cocoa, poppyseed, campfire smoke, and menthol. An earthy, creamy full-bodied Tempranillo, Mourvedre, Nebbiolo & Grenache blend has a distinct, slightly salty aftertaste, with a dark berries finish. Its elegant and delicate tannins and pleasant acidity make this a wine accessible to all palates. It has a nicely balanced nose, is smooth and delicious with hints of oak and spices, chocolate and pepper, leather and sea salt.

Aromas of dark fruits, light earth and nutmeg introduce this wine. It is medium plus in body with blackberry, black raspberry, baking spice, dark earth and tobacco. Although it offers density, the tannins and acid are well integrated, giving a soft and silky texture. It’s the perfect party quaffer or pair with steak, beef stew, or roasted lamb shanks, liberally involving charring, grilling or smoking. You can also enjoy this South American red with stuffed peppers, mushrooms, beans and Mexican dishes.

Aromas of black cherry juice, currants, black pepper and minerals introduce this wine and give hints of the depth to come. The palate engages you with dark and purple fruits that are almost jammy, but manage to stay lifted. This concentrated red blend balances the fruit with baking spices, silky tannnins and fresh acidity.

A balanced wine with blueberry compote, cola spice, and a touch of campfire. More smokey flavors on the palate are balanced by plum, cola, dried fig, baking spice, and black cherry notes. The oak influence is noticeable but is framed around smooth, plush tannins and medium acidity.

Fresh berry fruit with a medium to full body palate and soft tannic structure.

Between medium and full-bodied, this offering from Southeastern Spain is chock full of mulberries, cooked plums and raspberries with a sprinkling of cocoa. Baking spices and a hint of underbrush linger through the finish.

A subtle nose with a range of red fruit and some herbal-stemmy notes. The palate offers tart red and black berries with savory herbs on the earthier finish of this medium-bodied wine.

An aromatic wine with lots of complexity, floral with pressed roses, spiced plum, licorice and blackberry. The palate shows come baking spice notes such as clove, licorice, and black pepper. More toast and macerated red cherries to finish. It is medium plus and drinking well now.  This is a classic, example of Chateauneuf. 

This delicious red opens with deep aromas of smoke, tobacco, raspberry and blackberry with chocolate and coffee. Plush flavors of blackberry, black cherry, and fruit leather lend a touch of cola sweetness that is a nice counterpoint to the soft, fine tannins.

Aromas of smoky black fruits emerge from the glass. The palate confirms this with flavors of cassis, blueberry, boysenberry, sweet tobacco and cocoa powder. Touches of black olive and bramble peek out. This medium-plus bodied, Spanish red with its soft tannins is berrylicious!

Bodegas El Nido was founded in 2002 and is part of the Gil Family Estate. The vineyards are comprised of 64 acres of old vine Monastrell, and 45 acres of 2- year old Cabernet Sauvignon. It was aged in barrels for about two years. This wine is big, complex and generous.

This Spanish red blend has pronounced aromas of dark fruits, raspberry coulis, baking spices, and black olives that extend onto the palate. The palate offers a more robust body with lifted acidity and fine tannins. Hints of coffee, integrated smoke, and other savory notes complement the ripe fruit.

Cherry red in colour with a ruby rim; red fruit overtones present in the nose, it is smoky with hints of liquorice. In the mouth, it is clean, tasty, fresh and balanced. It has a lengthy finish, both fruity and spicy.

Earthy underbrush aromas lead to rich blackberry and toasted wood notes. The palate is rich in texture and depth with concentrated flavors of stewed black berries and currants. This wine develops with air, adding rich baking spice and dark chocolate notes to the complexity of this fuller-bodied Tempranillo.

This interesting blend of red and white grapes offers a nice marriage of fruit and floral aromas and flavors.  Red berries and plums are accompanied by touches of spice, dried flowers and tea notes.

Quite aromatic with aromas of cherry, grenadine, pomegranate, flowers, star anise and light toast. The palate shows flavors of dark-raspberry, boysenberry, roasted fennel and violets. It is silky, fresh, medium-plus in body with a long finish.

Aromas of blackberry, blueberry and a hint of spice nicely integrated with the new oak. The palate is medium-bodied and very well balanced. Flavors of blueberries, blackberries and roasted tomatoes alongside pencil shavings and Christmas spices. It has supporting acidity and fine tannins towards the finish.

This smells dark fruited and deep with integrated notes of smoke and savory forest/herbs. It is medium weight with an amalgam of clove and black pepper mixing with dark cherries and structuring acidity that keeps the wine lifted and fresh. Enjoy with red meat, Mediterranean dishes or just on its own by the campfire!

Rich aromas of plums, blackberries, mulberries, coffee, and a touch of lavender. The palate follows with red plums, fresh berry juice, black caps, coffee, and cacao. Medium bodied and ripe but with fresh acidity, finishing with fine tannins.

Densely fruity and juicy aromas of blackberry, cassis, dark cocoa, and charcoal. The palate follows suit with more dense black fruit wrapped in a supple structure with lingering touches of wood spice and smoke on the finish.

The palate is mineral and more tart red fruit with moderate acidity. Rich and plush, with concentrated cherry tart, plum pudding and dark currant flavors that are well-structured, showing cocoa powder and allspice accents on the open-textured finish. Aromas include cassis, blackberry and touches of smoke and pepper.  The palate offers nice intensity with mulberry, cassis and blackberry flavors supported by sleek, supple tannins, black pepper, and a touch of smoky graphite/earthy-minerality.

The nose offers dried strawberries and cooked cherries with dried flowers and herbs. The medium-bodied palate is similar to the nose, with dried cranberries, cherries, and dried flowers. The texture is silky with very fine tannins; acidity is lifted. The wine is ripe but not overripe; it’s lightly savoury like an Italian wine but with New World fruit.

The aromas are earthy and smoky with red fruits such as plum and raspberry, along with a touch of florality. The palate is midweight with a complex combination of coffee, black olive, barrel spice and well balanced jammy, juicy red currants and plums.

The nose offers black cherry and blueberry fruit, black olive, spice and touches of iron/earth. Dark fruit continues on the palate with present, but well-integrated tannins, touches of bittersweet chocolate and a juicy black cherry linger on the finish.

With bold fruit flavors and accents of sweet spice, Grenache, Syrah and Mourvèdre form the base of the classic Rhône Red Blend, while Carignan, Cinsault and Counoise often come in to play. Though they originated from France’s southern Rhône Valley, with some creative interpretation, Rhône blends have also become popular in other countries. Somm Secret—Putting their own local spin on the Rhône Red Blend, those from Priorat often include Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon. In California, it is not uncommon to see Petite Sirah make an appearance.

Notes of earth and leather on the nose with dark berries and oak. The medium-bodied palate has juicy acidity with blackberries, smoke, earth, forest floor, black pepper, and a pleasant, woody finish.

From the producer: Lynch-Bages 2015 has a brilliant, deep colour with purple hues. Its nose clearly expresses aromas of cassis and dark fruit, mixed with the empyreumatic notes that come with ageing. It has a straightforward attack and a voluminous yet supple mid-palate. The wine has a marked but silky tannic structure, and a persistent finish illustrative of a particularly ripe vintage.

"Jean-Michel Laporte (previously at La Conseillante) arrived as technical director in 2018, just as this wine was being bottled, and it's not a bad vintage to usher him in to the world of Château Talbot. I drank this at friend's house a few months ago, and it had been open 24 hours by the time we were pouring it out, which just might be the ideal time, as the tannins were soft and open, and everything felt plush and welcoming. It has the balance of the appellation, the precision that Talbot has increasingly showcased over the past few years, and a sappy feel to the tannins. 50% new oak. This cote du rhone presents aromas of smoke, dark fruit, and spice. Medium plus in body, with dark fruit, black currants, blackberries, dark chocolate, and wonderfully rounded tannins.

This co-fermented Chateauneuf is complex and appealing with scents reminiscent of potpourri, spiced plum, cassis and pressed flowers. There is a seduction about the aromas, like fine chocolate and wild animal; think truffle. It offers an opulent palate that is lovely, with blueberry, black currant, cooked plums, spice box, black tea, violets and forest floor. There are also hints of minerality and light toast joining with the ripe fruit. This full-bodied, flavorful red still offers "relief" and a sense of freshness which creates balance in the wine. It is texturally attractive and structurally balanced with medium acidity, well managed tannins and a long finish. 

This medium-bodied, Old World red is a good Chianti alternative. It gives flavors of mixed cherry fruit, cedar, leather and bark and is structured with firm acidity and moderate tannins.

Beautiful dark fruit notes waft from the glass, think of blackberry patch, blackcap jam and wild blueberries with earthy minerality. The palate offers medium acidity and tannins with a touch of bramble and rustic berry flavors. It’s ripe and succulent with lingering minerality.

This wine begins with light earth and raspberry-cherry notes mixing with garrigue. On the palate, it is midweight with fine tannins and chalky acidity. This is a good options for lovers of Pinot Noir, even though the grapes are different. There's a fineness and delicacy to it.

A Finger Lakes Lemberger that smells of plush smoke, dense black cherry, chocolate, candied red fruits, and cola. The palate is a juicy medium weight with nice concentration, medium tannins, and flavors of smoke, black raspberry, black cherry, and black currant.

MC² is a blend of Merlot, Cabernet Franc, and Cabernet Sauvignon and is our fan-favorite red blend meant for everyday consumption. Each variety and vineyard are picked, fermented, and aged separately and combined after 10 months of ageing in barrel before bottling. In 2023, this blend was 63% sourced from east Seneca Lake and 37% sourced from west Cayuga Lake, with 51% of the blend being from our estate vineyards. With the varying topographies, soils, vineyard age, and varieties planted, the blend truly encapsulates the season from mid-September through the end of October.

Old world aromas of barn, worn leather, freshly cut hay with dark forest fruits, like plum, black cherry and blackberry. The palate offers flavors of spiced dark fruit, cedar, and cocoa, around fine tannins, medium plus acidity and a rounded finish.

This wine excites us in every vintage; it offers black raspberry, tart cherry, and brambly fruits supported by a distinctive iron-like minerality and forest floor. It’s medium in weight and acidity and is complex while still very approachable.

Our notes: Aromas are of plum, black cherry, earth and truffle. This is medium weight with black cherry, raspberry and plum fruit that's ripe, not tart. It is fresh with mostly pure fruit and a touch of cooked as well. There are hints of orange, cinnamon and chalk. Tannins are nicely rounded.

Classic Syrah aromas include notes of licorice, cola and blackberries. It is concentrated and ripe without being too heavy on the palate; more dark berries, raisin, baking spice and vanilla are supported by supple tannins.

This fabulous Cabernet Franc exhibits everything we love about the variety: beautiful dark fruits, savory earth elements and fine, supple tannins. There's a light smokiness intertwined with mineral/iron notes amid plenty of plum, black cherry, blackberry fruit and juicy acidity to lift everything. The finish is persistent and complex.

From the Producer: This legendary Syrah is the estate’s flagship red, masterfully blended from multiple hillside parcels to create a structured, age-worthy masterpiece known for its notes of smoked meat, dark berries, and crushed granite.

Aromatic, sweet and fruity with strawberry preserves, grapes, and minerality. The texture is balanced and restrained for Rasteau with potpourri, minerality and red cherries.  This wine’s restraint and supple tannins make it an ideal food partner.

"Mineral-accented dark fruit and floral aromas are energized by a jolt of spicy black pepper. Fleshy, juicy and nicely concentrated, offering finely etched boysenberry, cherry and floral pastille flavors that tighten up on the back half. Densely packed yet energetic as well, finishing with sharp clarity, smooth tannins and strong persistence. Made from fruit grown on the granitic soils of Saint-Jean-du-Muzols."

Aromas are big, smoky, and spicy with blackberry, dark chocolate, and a hint of licorice. The palate has a nice lift and acidity, with flavors that match the aromas, including the pepper and blackberry. Medium plus in body with a persistent finish. The wine spends a year in American and French oak, with a further four months in bottle.

This sustainable wine invites you with aromas of cooked plums and black cherry candy along with exotic spices and an inviting smokiness. The palate is just over medium weight with plum, blackberry and black cherry fruits of a pure, fresh and attractively dense nature. There is a touch of minerality in this well-balanced wine while juicy acidity and fine tannins provide the perfect structure.

Rustic aromas of warm earth, worn leather, and ripe red fruits (cranberry, red currant and cooked strawberry) on the nose. More red fruit on the palate is supported by fresh acid and thorough yet integrated tannins providing a pleasing mouth feel in this medium-bodied red. Classic cabernet franc aromas include black cherry, plum, raspberry, green peppercorns, and a little earth note. The palate is similar to the nose, but builds from this red frame adding sundried tomato, pine needles, and red currant flavors in this medium-bodied beauty.
