This exciting Finger Lakes wine is a project between Louis Barruol of Chateau St. Cosme in the Rhone, France and his American partner, Richard Rainey. The winery was started in 2011 and has quickly been recognized as producing some of the top quality wines of the region, year after year. The Riesling Classique is their most signficant and complete wine; it combines grapes from 19 different vineyard sites within an 8-mile range.
From the Producer: "This wine reflects the substance and diversity of southeast Seneca Lake. It fermented in both vats and old oak (228 liter Burgundy barrels and demi-muids) with indigenous yeasts for several months, as is typical of our wines.
