This wine was fermented and aged in stainless steel.
Wines labeled St. Cosme (without the word "Chateau") are made with purchased fruit from long-term grower contracts. They are treated with the same rigorous selection and expertise as the highly-rated estate wines and are excellent values that showcase their terroirs. Louis Barruol took over from his father in 1992 and created the negoce-vigneron side of the business in 1997. His ancestors acquired the estate in 1570 and he is the fourteenth generation to tend vineyards.
