Tasting Notes

From the producer:

Flower Day Riesling is fresh and exuberant in nature and is dry with an almost playful effervescence. This wine highlights our commitment to ecosystem health and comprehensive viticulture practices. Flower Day incorporates fruit from not only our Demeter-certified HJW Vineyard but also Riesling from our "in-transition" biodynamically farmed block at our Standing Stone site. We adhere to unique farming methods that focus not solely on our vineyards but on the totality of our farm, promoting biodiversity in adjacent fields, forests, and meadows while utilizing cover crops, beneficials, and homeopathic teas and preparations. The biodynamic calendar has four kinds of days: root days, flower days, fruit days, and leaf days. Each of these days has specific tasks; fruit days are meant for harvesting, leaf days for watering, and root days for pruning. On flower days, the vineyard is left alone to rest - so we suggest resting and sipping this delicious Riesling, which pairs particularly well with books, bodies of water, and sunshine.
