Paul and David Hobbs honor their parents' names (Joan Hillick and Edward Hobbs) in this Finger Lakes Riesling. The wine comes from a 21-acre steep-sloped estate on the south east side of Seneca Lake. The wine presents aromas of peach, citrus, apricot pit, petrol and wet stone. On the palate, honeyed pear, peach and citrus combine with citrus and wet slate for a dry, minerally finish.
From the porducer: The winery, names in honor of Paul Hobbs' parents, Joan Hillick and Edward Hobbs, pays homage to his roots in western New York where he grew up on his family's farm. In 2013, he revived his family's legacy of growing grapes in New York when he acquired the 78 acre estate on the banks of Seneca Lake.
