Aromas of dark fruits, light earth and nutmeg introduce this wine. It is medium plus in body with blackberry, black raspberry, baking spice, dark earth and tobacco. Although it offers density, the tannins and acid are well integrated, giving a soft and silky texture. It’s the perfect party quaffer or pair with steak, beef stew, or roasted lamb shanks, liberally involving charring, grilling or smoking. You can also enjoy this South American red with stuffed peppers, mushrooms, beans and Mexican dishes.

Quite aromatic with black cherry, plum, light smoke, cassis and some spice. On the palate it is dry and juicy with flavors of cherry, plum, campfire, and smoke. It is medium body with medium acidity and soft tannins.

Aromas of smoky black fruits emerge from the glass. The palate confirms this with flavors of cassis, blueberry, boysenberry, sweet tobacco and cocoa powder. Touches of black olive and bramble peek out. This medium-plus bodied, Spanish red with its soft tannins is berrylicious!

Ripe aromas of black cherry, plum, and cooked strawberry compote lead to smoked tomatoes and a concentrated volcanic/ashy minerality. The ripe fruits are balanced by minerality on the palate, along with moderate acidity and fine tannins with a round mouthfeel.

From the Producer: Barda is the local term for “eroded steep slope” Often perceived as the “village level” Pinot Noir at Chacra, Barda is sourced from the estate’s “youngest vines” planted in the 1990s. The vines are ungrafted, from an original massale selection on sandy calcareous soils presenting a more high toned aromatic component in the wine. Barda is fermented in equal parts concrete and French oak, 15% of which is new followed by an 11 month elévage. Unfined/unfiltered with minimal sulphur.

This medium-bodied, Old World red is a good Chianti alternative. It gives flavors of mixed cherry fruit, cedar, leather and bark and is structured with firm acidity and moderate tannins.

This is a medium bodied Piedmont red, with notes of cherry, cranberry and raspberry, mixing with flavors of earth and baking spice. The acidity is fresh, bright and lifted, while balanced by fine to medium tannins. This might be the perfect pizza wine!

This liter bottle presents intense notes of black currant, cooked blackberry, and a touch of cigar smoke. Medium-weight with fine tannins, integrated acid and ripe dark cherry, it can be enjoyed with a slight chill.

This wine begins with light earth and raspberry-cherry notes mixing with garrigue. On the palate, it is midweight with fine tannins and chalky acidity. The fruit is reddish--dried strawberry, pomegranate, red raspberry and red cherry, joining with lightly savory forest notes. MC² is a blend of Merlot, Cabernet Franc, and Cabernet Sauvignon and is our fan-favorite red blend meant for everyday consumption. Each variety and vineyard are picked, fermented, and aged separately and combined after 10 months of ageing in barrel before bottling. In 2023, this blend was 63% sourced from east Seneca Lake and 37% sourced from west Cayuga Lake, with 51% of the blend being from our estate vineyards. With the varying topographies, soils, vineyard age, and varieties planted, the blend truly encapsulates the season from mid-September through the end of October.

A classic Chianti style, structured with balanced tannin and acidity, clean and smooth.  A pleasant smoky, savory and mixed cherry nose, with balanced fruit on the palate. 

Aromas are big, smoky, and spicy with blackberry, dark chocolate, and a hint of licorice. The palate has a nice lift and acidity, with flavors that match the aromas, including the pepper and blackberry. Medium plus in body with a persistent finish. The wine spends a year in American and French oak, with a further four months in bottle.

Rustic aromas of warm earth, worn leather, and ripe red fruits (cranberry, red currant and cooked strawberry) on the nose. More red fruit on the palate is supported by fresh acid and thorough yet integrated tannins providing a pleasing mouth feel in this medium-bodied red. Touches of spice and smoky minerality round out the finish.

Classic Pinot Noir characteristics are present in this midweight red. Red and black cherry, plum, earth, truffle and tea combine on the palate to give just-right balance of fruit and umami flavors. Since the wine is in screw cap, it will continue to evolve after being open for 30 minutes, becoming a little richer and more concentrated. The acidity and tannins are well-wrapped into this wine, making it a pleasure to drink alone or with many foods.

Dark fruit aromas arise from this appealing Piedmont red, boysenberry, black currants, blueberry, and some floral notes. Medium weigh in body, loaded with red and purple fruits, plums, blueberries, rose pedals, fine tannins, and crisp acidity.

This lovely Sicilian in the style of a super Tuscan is brimming with dark berries and garrigue on the nose, red fruits, plums, Italian herbs. The spicy medium plus body follows with dried red fruits, hints of coffee, medium acid and tannins. A steal at the price point!

An enticing barbera with black currants, earthy Indian spices, charred oak and cumin. The palate has fleshy black fruit and earthy umami notes supported by juicy acidity, smooth tannins and medium body.

Medium aromas high toned raspberry and strawberry in addition to some white and black cracked peppercorns. The palate is clean and medium bodied with red cherry, pomegranate juice, plum, and cranberry. The secondary notes exist as touches of vanilla, light earth and some higher acid in comparison to the previous vintage with medium tannin structure.

Lightly floral aromas with baking spice and cherry. The palate on this medium weight red is silky, with black pepper, plum and cherry notes.

Cool-climate Cabernet Franc that is unoaked. It was originally produced in a stainless steel tank #23 (T23) and remained in the Lamoreaux line-up as a classic expression of the region without the interplay of oak or oak tannins.

Grown on high elevation, this old vine, small production wine delivers a real sense of liquid geography. Aromas that are meaty, smoky and red fruited make this wine decadent. The palate offers brambly fruit, blackberry coulis, vanilla and complex oak spice while the texture remains velvety.

Wood and baking spice with black and red cherry can be found on the nose. The palate is savory and deep with smoke, berries, black pepper, and mocha. The slightly grippy tannins and moderate acidity provide structure.

On the nose, expressive aromatics of pressed rose, incense, sandalwood, and Moroccan spices mingle with steeped dark berries and black cherries. This is a very dark and dense presentation of Barbera. Aromas of warm earth, smoke, black fruits, and spices draw you in. The palate is rich with dark flavors or wet earth, forest floor, smoke, and ripe dark berries. This Barbera has a very pleasing density but stays fresh and balanced with nicely integrated medium acidity.

Medium aromatics offering fresh and dried herbs, cigar box, dates and dried cherries. The palate is medium bodied with very rounded but quite there tannins. Fruits are purple to black --cherries, plums, and black currant skin with light toast, earth and tobacco.

Here's your savory minerally red, that's medium weight flexible and balanced between fruit, earth and texture assets. Wild raspberry, blackberry, mixed cherries, plums, along with light barn and bark elements can be found here. Juicy acid, a touch of spice, its just about perfect with tomatoes!

Classic cabernet franc aromas include black cherry, plum, raspberry, green peppercorns, and a little earth note. The palate is similar to the nose, but builds from this red frame adding sundried tomato, pine nettles, and red currant flavors in this medium-bodied beauty.

Wild aromatics of wild berries and crushed cherries with forest floor with some baking spice and potpourri. The color is darker than a traditional Nebbiolo yet the tannins are soft and integrated. This is not effusive. It is medium bodied with medium plus acidity and ends with rose water, black tea and some smoke. This is approachable now!

Aromas of wild raspberry, dried strawberry, earth, dried herbs and forest greet you on the nose. This wine is medium weight or slightly less. The palate is fruit forward with both tart and ripe notes including red raspberry, tart cherry and pomegranate fruit mixed with white pepper and lightly funky earth and herbs. Tannins are smooth with some perky acidity peeking out. 

This may remind you of a Cotes-du-Rhone in that it has wonderful, ripe Mediterranean fruit balanced by freshness and round tannins. However, there is a mineral character that also provides cut to the wine. It is medium plus in body with juicy acid and notes of dried herbs complementing the mixed berry fruit.

This wine is a lovely blend of savory, earth, brush, and bramble with ripe and rich black cherries on both the nose and the palate. Driven by juicy acidity and fine, integrated tannins, the ripe red fruits linger pleasantly on the tongue.

Mixed aromas of red cherry, red currants cinnamon, clove and oregano framed this medium-bodied wine. Fresh acidity and flavors of tobacco and spiced raspberry are balanced by soft, integrated tannins.

Fresh ripe dark fruit such as black cherry, blackcap, and black currants with subtle violets and black peppercorns. It is not complex but is worthy of drinking all day because of fun this is. The flavors are similar to the nose with extra dried herbs, juicy raspberry and red pepper.
