This wine smells big right from the get-go. Fleshy, baked plum and black cherry match up with baking spices, especially cinnamon and clove, and a whiff of smoke. It’s full bodied with concentrated berry fruit going towards compote, and notes of sweet tea, vanilla, oak and bramble. The tannins are lightly grippy.
