This orange wine immediately greets the nose with a ton of complexity and goes through many changes in its time being open. Honeyed floral and sherry-adjacent notes waft out of the glass initially, these fade into oregano, garrigue, roasted orange peel, clove, and other gently oxidative notes within 10 minutes after pouring. The palate begins quite sherry like, with hazelnut, sesame, honey, a singed walnut bitterness, and vanilla, a beautiful soft and sesame-oily texture

Sunjewel melon, tangerine and almond mix with more subtle second notes of pear, yellow apple and wet stone. The palate is medium weight with medium plus acidity and tastes quite dry! The flavors echo the nose with good density and has a very long mineral finish.

This wine has great intensity and density with lightly spiced oak influence but not oaky or toasty. The palate has golden apple, cream and ripe pear with nice richness.

Heady floral aromas of orange blossom, Turkish delight, and lychee dominate the nose. Sweet-tart citrus and white floral notes fill the palate, along with hints of ginger, baked apricot, clove and wild honey. Touches of orange peel can be found on the long, succulent finish. Clean and zesty with lemon, crunchy green pear, nectarine and fennel. The flavors are clean with good concentration of vanilla, almond, bosc pear and soft peach. The medium weight texture of this wine is balanced, fresh and delicious because the acid is thorough and lees characteristic gives subtly.

This wine has unusual and delightful aromatics, think of fennel, lemongrass, almond and lychee. A rich almost sweet texture with zippy acid and flavors of grapefruit, tangerine and chamomile. Long finish with lingering mineral overtones. fragrant notes of jasmine, peony, and lime.

Lovely aromas include stone fruit, jasmine, and tropical citrus notes. Refreshing and dry on the palate with bright apricot, orange peel and rosewater. Medium-bodied with a slightly waxy texture.

Floral (light honeysuckle) with stone fruit (apricot) ; darker in color with a full-bodied aroma. The palate has well balanced acidity on a medium-bodied frame. Apricot, Golden Delicious apple, peach, and honeysuckle provide tons of flavor.

Quite an aromatic wine with juicy stone fruit, fresh herbs and just blooming lilies. The palate is ripe and concentrated with juicy acidity and fruity nectarine, peach, pineapple and white grapes. There is a light chalkiness, along with floral notes of chamomile tea and saltiness on the finish. The palate has good structure and is deliciously satisfying.

Each grape (Chardonnay, Sauvignon Blanc, Pinot Grigio, and Friulano) shines quite nicely in this Friuli white, aromas of melon, citrus, and apples are followed on the palate with citrus pith and a hint of lemon. Medium in body, this wine is fresh and clean, a lovely spring sipper!

This is medium plus to full bodied with loads of orchard fruits -- apricot, apple and ripe pear, along with hints of flowers, chalk and chamomile, ending with glazed apple notes. The texture is roundish with plenty of juicy acidity and a touch of salty minerality.

This wine is fragrant as soon as the cork leaves the bottle! The aromas are beautifully integrated, with plum, bramble, small dark fruits, and dried herbs including oregano and sage. Tannins have softened with some age and are doing just what they should be, allowing the flavor elements to show off. Dark berries, plums, and herbal elements dance. Medium bodied with a longer finish.

Aromas of cherry, crushed raspberries, minerals and flowers, show good typicity for Pinot. The dry palate is elegant, with more cherry fruit, a bit of toast, tea leaves, smoke and meatiness. This wine is medium plus in body with soft acidity, moderate tannins and oak influence that is not overdone. The fruit gives concentrated blackberry, black cherry and plum with some dehydrated fig and raisin flavors. Perfect for those who enjoy Amarone, but at an affordable price. 

This appassimento wine uses dried grapes to concentrate the flavors. It is soft and supple in texture with velvety tannins on a medium frame. Stewed black and red fruits are accompanied by light tobacco and spice and a touch of smoke. Notes of blackberry, black cherries, and dates follow through to spices and dried herbs on the finish.

From the Producer: “This organic Chianti spends little time in oak, unlike many of its Tuscan siblings. This gives the Sangiovese grape the chance to express its pure red cherry and plum character and a delicately spiced finish. Dark fruit aromas arise from this appealing Piedmont red, boysenberry, black currants, blueberry, and some floral notes. Medium weigh in body, loaded with red and purple fruits, plums, blueberries, rose pedals, fine tannins, and crisp acidity.

Rustic aromas of warm earth, barn, worn leather, and herbs complement ripe red fruits (cranberry, red currant and cooked strawberry) on the nose. An interesting wine ideal for charcuterie because it is thoroughly aromatic with dried herbs and florals, unusual in certain way with structure and savory notes. There is some menthol tone that evolves into tobacco and smoke. The acidity and body for this wine is medium but with good intensity of flavor.

The medium-bodied palate boasts plum and blueberry flavors supported by denser flavors of herbs, pepper, amaro spice and dark soil. This wine is juicy, tasty, with soft, dusty tannins and old world charm.

This is quite aromatic, with a nose that shows some florality, plum, blueberry, and earth. The palate’s fresh acidity and moderate tannins support blackberry, blueberry, violets, and earth. This is a fresh, juicy wine inviting food.

This Barbaresco is soft and enjoyable on the palate with clean aromas of bright red fruit, freshly picked rose petals and hints of savory spice. The wine’s soft tannins and well-integrated acidity make it incredibly enjoyable when served by-the-glass or with a myriad of rich and/or spicy foods.

This wine is something else all together with an inky and chewy backbone that matches the aromas with density and concentration. Perfume of grandma's home with forest floor, violets, horse stable and leather that layer aromas of blueberries and black olives. The palate is medium bodied with medium acidity and tannin structure. Flavors of black plum, dark currants, cigar paper and cured black olives.

Chocolate, figs, leather, espresso, dried fruit and spices. This is complex, still young and delivers an approachable expression of Amarone that is medium plus in tannins and medium in acidity.

Aromas of smoke and spice, black olive and black cherry. The palate has a lovely texture deriving from fine tannins. Grapes, blackberries, and light spice as well as a hint of tapenade, make up the flavors.

Slightly floral aromas mix with dark cherry, chocolate cake, oak, and cedar on the nose. The extra time in the barrel has softened this lovely Chianti Classico. The palette is pleasingly dense with Old World flavors, nicely ripe and fruity with soft but present tannins and juicy acidity.

Subtle and elegant with notes of red fruit and dried roses. On the palate, the tannins are present, but fine and well-integrated, and the wine showcases excellent freshness and persistence of fruit.

Today, Susumaniello is one of Puglia’s best-kept secrets. A red with a bold character, surprising with its freshness. The fruit is dark, intense, with notes of sour cherry and blackberry, yet always balanced by a subtle tension, an acidity that gives it rhythm. On the palate, the tannins are present but soft, smoothed by time. The sip is full, enveloping, with a long finish that leaves its mark.

Lovely aromas include raspberry, cassis, and black caps with touches of violets, leather and spiced plum. The mid-weight palate features juicy red and black berries and fruit leather supported by light sandalwood and floral-violet notes. Additional flavors of spice and smoke are framed around the lingering black cherry notes of this wine. Tannins remain smooth and acidity fresh. An excellent value wine!

An experimental wine made by fermenting and aging organic Aglianico in untreated clay amphora, Titolo by Amphora channels the grape’s natural power into a soft and supremely nuanced wine. As the amphora become seasoned year after year, the wine takes on a fuller body after its 18-month aging regimen.

Grown on high elevation, this old vine, small production wine delivers a real sense of liquid geography. Aromas that are meaty, smoky and red fruited make this wine decadent. The palate offers brambly fruit, blackberry coulis, vanilla and complex oak spice while the texture remains velvety.

This wine is overall well made and tasty. It is medium-plus in body with good depth, namely black fruit, black currants, slight savory tones and integrated smoke. Due to its age, you’ll find the tannins soft and velvety.

This is a great-value, Italian version of Zinfandel. The nose is lifted with floral aromas balancing the dark berries. On the palate, the fruit remains dark and rich with smoke, toast and cherry cola notes. Well balanced and rounded in texture, this is a fun party or camp fire wine!

This is a very dark and dense presentation of Barbera. Aromas of warm earth, smoke, black fruits, and spices draw you in. An enticing barbera with black currants, earthy Indian spices, charred oak and cumin. The palate has fleshy black fruit and earthy umami notes supported by juicy acidity, smooth tannins and medium body.

A likeable style Brachetto with attractive aromas that jump out of the glass with rhubarb, raspberry, orange and rosewater. This is fragrant and perfumed with pretty flavors of pressed roses, sage, red cherry and white pepper. Using a family recipe since 1897, Nonino Amaro is a careful infusion of alpine herbs, enriched today by the presence of UE grapes aged over 5 years.

The primary flavors of Cardamaro are cardoon and blessed thistle, with a short repose in oak for spice and and texture. Notes of brown baking spices of cardamom and cloves, ginger and sassafras. This digestif is very aromatic with alpine herbs but predominantly mint and spearmint. The palate is equally intense and mint driven with some dark fruits like date and fig represented with herbaceous qualities.
