On the palate, this is medium weight with cantaloupe and other melons, peach, minerality and some volcanic notes. It is high acid. The Diego grape is indigenous and like so many Canary Island wines, this is a unique exploration.

The nose is enticing with aromas of floral, peach, apricot and minerality. On the palate there is a pleasant light bitterness that balances with the full texture and bold flavor of this wine. Flavors of preserved citrus fruits, glazed orange rind and orange blossom, with peach and apricot as well. This wine is ripe, juicy and has a long delicious finish.

Chalk-like mineral notes provide a crisp backbone supported by pear, yellow apple, lemon curd and peach. The palate is bright and fresh with crisp citrus, fresh acidity and lingering minerals/salinity.

Aromas include baked apples, honey and almond notes. Medium in body with a round profile; slightly floral with apricot and orange peel flavors and touches of lanolin on the finish. This lower-acid white makes a nice alternative to Viognier or Chardonnay.

This classic Txakoli gives aromas of fresh nectarine, lime zest and crushed stones/beach notes. The palate is lightly spritzy with pineapple, lemon-lime, grapefruit and peach. There is minerality, crisp acid and a long, saline finish. In the mouth, this is medium plus in weight with rounded flavors of apple and ripe yellow pear, a touch of baking spice, savory herb and grilled peach. We love that it has a creamy mouthfeel, yet is crisp and refreshing. 

The 2025 version is a svelte 12.5 percent octane and delivers a bright, precise and complex bouquet of green apple, breadfruit, ocean breeze, a hint of menthol, volcanic minerality, lime peel and a top-note of fruit blossoms. On the palate the wine is full-bodied, crisp and complex, with a beautiful core of fruit, excellent mineral undertow and grip, a lovely spine of acidity and a long, seamlessly balanced and very classy finish.

This Rioja is drinking in its prime. It has plum and black cherry flavors with toasty oak, cedar and dusty notes. Classic for Rioja and very textural, with everything well integrated and softly rounded. This is a great option if you want a wine with some development, yet with the ripeness to warm you on a cool evening.

Aromas are complex, with smoke, raspberry compote, red currant candy, chocolate, and spice. The palate offers a variety of red berry fruit, lightly cooked so it releases juice. Black cherry and cassis are also present, along with toast, baking spice, and mineral notes. The wine is medium to full bodied with moderate acid and youthful tannins that will meld with age.

"92 POINTS - The 2014 El Nido is 70% Cabernet Sauvignon from 35-year-old vines and the rest Monastrell from ancient vines fermented in the same way as Clio, starting in open-top, 4,500-liter stainless steel tanks with neutral yeasts and finishing in brand-new French and American oak barrels, where it also goes through malolactic. Aging in those new barrels lasted for almost two years. This is always quite ripe, and the Cabernet never shows any pyrazines or herbal aromas; there are plums, blackberries and a balsamic touch. This is full-bodied, powerful, concentrated and generously oaked. This Tempranillo, Merlot, Garnacha blend is a serious wine, its black fruits (cherry and raspberry) bonding with graphite, iron, dark earth, and chocolate aromas. This is an old-school style of Rioja, made using carbonic maceration, aged in concrete vats.
