Classic chardonnay aromas include pear apple butter. The wine is quite balanced on the palate with more tree fruits, pineapple and a hint of creaminess on the finish.

Aromas of apple, pear, vanilla and butterscotch are present on the nose. The  palate delivers notes of apples, baked apples, poached pears, lemon curd and vanilla bean, along with butterscotch. It is concentrated, clean, well balanced between creaminess and crisp acid. There are hints of oak, mostly a touch of caramel merging with the fruit. This is just over medium weight.

Aromas of baked apple, honey, pineapple, citrus and toasty oak. On the palate this wine is well-balanced with enough acidity to carry its weight. This wine is full body and elegant and the oak use is just right.

100% Central Coast Chardonnay that's seen 80% of it in stainless steel, with the remaining 20% being barrel fermented. After fermentation there's 10 months of rest in oak barrels. What you have here in the bottle is a medium to full bodied Chardonnay with balanced flavors of vanilla, orange blossom, pear and apple. Toasty oak adds to the long, silky finish.

This unoaked Chardonnay offers fresh flavors of pineapple and grilled peaches with nice acidity to keep the palate lifted. The texture is attractive with both freshness and a broad mouthfeel. It finishes with glazed citrus and sweet snap pea.

The aromas in this wine are elegant with sweet oak, butter, vanilla, apple, pear and a whiff of smoke. The palate gives flavors of Asian pear, nectarine, white apple, and grilled peach, along with vanilla and butter. Any oak is elegant and tremendously well integrated; this is bright and clean with lovely minerality. A sensational effort that is well balanced and still exudes California style.

Apples, apricots, and white peach on the nose. The palate follows with white stone fruits, some barrel and lees but not oak, white flowers and lilacs, finishing with fresh lemon zest.

Mouthwatering and crisp, the palate is focused with a lean backbone of acidity balanced by layers of honeysuckle, hazelnut, and white peach, all supported by a round, creamy mouthfeel. This is the creamy buttery style of chardonnay with a medium plus palate that shows some oak use but is integrated with acidity. There are flavors of baked apple, butter and caramel that has a creamy finish.

This delicious red opens with deep aromas of smoke, tobacco, raspberry and blackberry with chocolate and coffee. Plush flavors of blackberry, black cherry, and fruit leather lend a touch of cola sweetness that is a nice counterpoint to the soft, fine tannins.

Aromas of dried black cherry and blueberry dance with root beer, vanilla, and oak spices. The wine is fuller-bodied and a touch sweet with rich black currents and dates, more cola flavors, and is a bit smoky, especially on the finish. It is medium-plus in body with supporting acid and tannins.

From the Producer: Founded in 1982, Au Bon Climat (which means "a well-exposed vineyard") produces internationally-recognized Pinot Noir, Chardonnay, and Pinot Blanc wine from grapes grown in California's Santa Barbara County.

Deep flavors of blackberry pie, brambly fruits of the forest, and touches of spice box and clove. The palate echoes the nose on a medium-bodied frame.

Aromas reminiscent of the Old World with a fresh spin; think tart red fruit, minerality, forest floor, wood spice and a savory character. On the palate it has more New World flavors: blackberry, vanilla, baking spice, and bittersweet cocoa. It is complex, supple, and tasty.

Smoky and spiced aromas mingle with ripe and pleasantly cooked blackberries, black cherries, and plums, and invoke that classic rich and concentrated Napa blend. The dark berries continue on the palate with notes of coffee and chocolate, the richness balanced by enough acidity to keep it fresh through the long finish.

From the producer: Dark ruby-purple, this wine has deep, alluring aromas of blackcurrant and black plum that are layered with expressive notes of dark chocolate, espresso, and perfume of lavender. Supple, concentrated, and seamless, the palate displays vibrant fruit with undertones of tilled earth and sea salt. Firm, integrated tannins provide a structured backbone to the opulence of the wine, finishing with a lasting, powerful impression.

The nose of red cherry, truffle, rose and light earth is very enticing. The wine is medium weight with both black and red cherries intertwined with earth, steeped strawberries, wild raspberries and a touch of darjeeling tea. This has beautiful texture and though it is very flavorful, it remains elegant.

The aromas are dark and rich with black cherry, concentrated cassis and stewed black fruit with a mineral back bone and a hint of smoke. The palate is mineral and more tart red fruit with moderate acidity. Rich and plush, with concentrated cherry tart, plum pudding and dark currant flavors that are well-structured, showing cocoa powder and allspice accents on the open-textured finish. Dense garnet in color. Concentrated aromas of black currant, fleshy plum, warm spices, cocoa, and grilled meats. Despite its age, there's still some baby fat here. The wine is spicy, with black raspberry, fruit compote, and savory notes. Medium plus in body and length with integrated tannins.

This wine opens with an alluring nose of floral notes and dark red berries, characteristic of a quintessential Napa Valley Merlot. The palate is supple and polished with a seamless integration of fruit and tannin, enhanced by the inclusion of Cabernet Sauvignon and a hint of Cabernet Franc. The long, vibrant finish highlights meticulous craftsmanship and perfect balance.

A cabernet sauvignon with good density that is accessible now but could also age. There are stovetop cooked blueberries and raspberries that mingle with smoke. The intensity on the palate is good with blueberry or blackberry jam, moderate black pepper and smoke with seamless texture that is round medium tannins and medium yet still juicy acidity.

Graphite, bittersweet chocolate and blackberry greet the nose with light cedar and smoke. The texture is supple and integrated; pretty but not aggressive with black pepper, stewed black fruit and lingering butterscotch. The finish is long with a gorgeous texture and medium minus acidity.

Perfumed with black currant, plum and cassis with touches of baking spice. The texture is lush and high toned with good quality oakiness. It is medium plus in body with fresh violet notes, prominent but supple tannins on the finish and red fruited.

On the nose and the palate the fruit is nicely ripe with black plum, blueberry, mixed cherry and blackberry. The palate has good intensity with plenty of lift, made more complex with notes of dried violets and a spicy finish. This medium-plus-bodied wine is complex and balanced; though it is fruit forward, it offers nice oak quality and blended spice.

Ripe and satisfying raspberry, cherry and baking spice begin this elegant textured wine. Soft tannins and persistent acidity support a fruit-forward finish.

This Pinot Noir from Santa Barbara has a floral nose, with loads of raspberries and a touch of alcohol. The body is medium to medium plus, nicely ripe with a lot of density and depth. Rich with flavors of black cherries, blackberries, and light smoke; finishing with medium acidity and lingering fruit.

From the producer: A bowl of summer fruits including sweet blackberries, raspberries, black olives and pomegranates which are highlighted by black pepper, violets and fresh green olive scents that develop and evolve with air. Vivacious and bright in the mouth with real density of flavor and concentration from the long cool growing season.

Fruit for this wine come from young vines and you can tell it is ripe red cherry, spiced plum, truffle mushroom, and slightly earthy. The palate delivers medium plus acidity making this wine refreshing to drink, with black pepper, black cherry, black tea like tannins and satisfying with it's medium structure.

Beautiful nose with such ripe and fruity notes of dark berries, sweeter blueberry compote and cocoa. The bit of Zinfandel adds to the flavors with smoke on the finish, black pepper and some cigar. This wine is smooth with soft tannins and balanced acidity.

This Napa Cabernet Sauvignon smells of black tea, black currants, and macerated dark fruits such as black cherries and plums. The palate is elegant and medium in body, presenting more black tea, black cherries, some smoke, spice, integrated acid, and fine tannins.

Perfumed aromas that draw the drinker in with black cherry, forest floor and mulling spices. This wine is clearly developed and clean with fine tannins and integrated acidity. The flavors are similar to the aromas but a touch brighter with ripe cherry and a touch of smoke shining through.

Lightly smoky aromas envelope concentrated red cherry and cola spices on the nose. This wine is bold and ripe yet not too heavy with fine tannins and a supple dark cherry and spice finish.
