This delicious wine has aromas of orange, tangerine, fresh peach, and slightly baked apricot. On the palate, the ripe citrus and orchard fruits continue, and the juicy acidity is balanced with a richer body from the Macabeo grape, and a creaminess from lees aging. The finish is light and refreshing.

Forceful but elegant and intensely aromatic, this riesling is broad on the palate, with a clean citrus toned minerality providing a searingly dry and persistent finish—a wonderful and particularly age worthy companion to an already impressive duo of Rieslings produced at the domaine.

From the producer: This prestige cuvée is produced from the oldest vines in a five-hectare parcel exploited entirely as a “monopole”by the Thevenet family.  The average age of the south-facing Chardonnay vines located in Prissé are seventy years old.  This highly concentrated wine of limited production (about 12,000 bottles per year are produced) is aged in cuve (no oak aging).  It displays a powerful constitution with great density; it is marked also by notes of tilleul and jasmine in the bouquet and hints of pear in its flavor.

The wine shows high aromatic intensity on the nose, with aromas of tropical fruit and hints of fennel and fresh grass. The palate confirms the nose with a soft mouthfeel and pleasantly bitter finish providing lift.

Green fruits including lime and Granny Smith apple aromas on the nose; the palate has nice weight and ripeness while remaining crisp and clean. Flavors include pear and melon notes with a succulent, creamy finish.

This unoaked Chardonnay is fresh and easy to drink with aromas of wet stone, lemon, apple, and sweet tart. The palate is clean with minerality, granny smith apple, fennel, grapefruit, and a long finish.

From the producer: From 100 % dry- farmed Swartland and chenin that was planted over 20 years ago on a hilltop from where one can view the entirety of Table Mountain from afar. An alluring deep gold mimics the neighboring wheat fields of this region. Lemongrass, nectarines & flowers reveal themselves on the nose. A wonderfully medium bodied personality on the pal ate with rich, l a sting notes of ripe summer peaches & nartjies alongside a grounding undertone of straw. Moreish & long lasting.

Yellow apple, wildflower, and poached pear aromas on the nose; the palate offers nice density and moderate acid. Flavors include some citrus, young peach, lychee, and touches of florality for interest. This is an easy crowd pleaser would pair well with an array of food from Asiatic cuisines to simple cheese platters.

Aromas of lemon zest, apple, pineapple, and hint of marshmallow. The palate is very clean and balanced with some oak, nice minerality, wood spice, and some baked apple and pineapple. This chardonnay strikes a nice balance between fruit forward and mellow minerality.

Classic chardonnay aromas of apple butter and toasted hazelnut on the nose; the palate is nicely concentrated with more tree fruit (apple, pear) and fresh acidity to balance. It’s medium-bodied with a slightly creamy finish.

Fresh orchard fruit on the nose with touches of white flower and herb.  The palate is expressive and clean with refreshing acidity, and soft pear flavors, simply delicious!

Nicely aromatic with poached pear and floral notes. This is clean and fruity, with succulent, juicy pear, lychee and sweet lemon. Roundish and texture, dry but generous. 

From the producer: Pretty florals, ripe stone fruits, and a plush body round out this elegant and aromatic blend.

This local off-dry sparkling is bright and aromatic with peach, jasmine flowers, white grape jelly, and loads of floral notes. The palate is a touch sweet with a nice concentration of apricot and flowers, finishing pleasant and dry.

Classic Sauv Blanc aromas include grapefruit, gooseberry, and touches of jalapeño. The palate is nicely tropical with pineapple and guava notes, refreshing acidity and more grapefruit and green pepper flavors on the finish. 

Fresh aromas include lemon verbena, wet-stone minerality and delicate floral notes. The citrus shines through on the palate providing fresh acidity with good lift. There are flavors of underripe pear, clean linen, alpine meadow herbs and flowers in this classic Alpine wine.

A delicious wine with exotic aromas of fennel, mint and lychee. The flavors echo the aromas, and build into succulent peach, ripe banana, and dried herbs. The texture is silky and round with medium acidity and a fuller body.

Beautiful cherry red color, floral, fruity bouquet, round on the palate with fresh garden fruits; underpinned by supple tannins.

This luscious wine has bright aromas of blackberry, black plum, juicy blueberry, and violet. On the palate, these rich fruits mix with dark chocolate and baking spices in a way that is reminiscent of a compote but are kept fresh with the lively acidity. Textbook aromas of black pepper, dense dark berries, wood spice and vanilla emanate from the glass.  Slightly smoky upon entry with chewy black fruit and fresh acidity to balance. Baking spice, vanilla, and black pepper linger on the finish of this fuller-bodied wine.

Darkly fruited with integrated barrel influence that smells like blackcurrants, black cherry, vanilla bean and cola. The flavors offer deep dark fruit, classy oak use and pleasant acidity. The velvety tannins are warming with balanced acidity.

This fleshy Pinotage presents red fruit, ground coffee, vanilla, metallic minerality, and barbeque smoke on the nose. The palate follows with silky texture, a long vanilla finish, and medium tannins and acidity.

Bursting blueberries on the nose and palate of this scrumptious Rhone! Joining aromas of leather, cinnamon, licorice, cooked berries, and blueberry jam. The palate is earthy with black pepper, loads of blueberry, with some touches of herbal and floral notes. Medium bodied with medium tannins, this luscious Rhone is a great value and a fun treat!

The palate is midweight with plum and raspberry that is fresh and just-ripe joining with warm earth and faint baking spices. Acidity is in check and tannins are supple as typical for the variety. The fruit on the palate is high-toned and ripe with flavors including blackcap, wild blueberries, and a thorough wet- stone like minerality supported by integrated tannins.

Densely fruited with dark berries, cherry wood, caramel and toasted coconut. This wine is still fresh and fruit forward with vanilla and oak notes. Flavors are persistent and generous with full-bodied texture, thorough tannins and nice acidity to balance. This wine could be drunk soon, or cellared.

You'll find dark cherry, cranberry and pepper on the nose. The palate echoes this along with ink, truffle and black pepper. It's medium weight crisp acidity and moderate tannins.

Red cherry, raspberry, cocoa, cedar and smoke aromas waft from the glass. The palate begins with red berry fruit leather supported by notes of tobacco, baking spices, and tart red cherry juice offering complexity. A slightly chalky tannin structure and medium plus-acidity keep it balanced.

An insane value-wine that entices you with mocha, clove, smoke, and an undertone of black currant aromas on the nose. Medium in body with a chocolatey core, wild berry, red currant and cherry lead to lingering clove and vanilla flavors.

Classic cabernet franc aromas include black cherry, plum, raspberry, green peppercorns, and a little earth note. The palate is similar to the nose, but builds from this red frame adding sundried tomato, pine needles, and red currant flavors in this medium-bodied beauty.

A lovely and enticing nose from this Schioppettino, bursting with aromatics like sandalwood, wood spice, dark cherry, and smoke. The palate has very concentrated red fruits with that integrated spice and sandalwood. Medium bodied with a long finish, supple and rich.

Aromas of plum and black cherry combine with smoke, spices like cinnamon and clove, as well as bramble and high quality oak. The palate gives great concentration, spiced berry compote, as well as stovetop raspberries and blackberries. This wine is classy, well balanced and high quality with moderate acid and silky tannins. Enjoy with BBQ brisket or anytime you need a warming wine.

A very appealing Oregon Pinot Noir with aromas of spiced cherry, graham cracker, vanilla, and tobacco. Like the nose, the palate is complex and alluring with pink floral notes, spices, and lightly stewed red berries. Medium bodied and well balanced, this Pinot should age beautifully.

This will integrated wine has aromas of ripe red fruit with cherry cola and smoke on the nose, followed by supple red cherry, baking spices, and a touch of savory on the palate. It has medium weight and lifted acidity, and just is overall delicious.

A fresh and fruit forward Provencal Rose, bursting with strawberry, peach, and bubblegum aromas. More bubblegum, peach candy, and minerality on the palate. Classic and fruit forward with a pleasant dry finish.

The nose on this dry, sparkling rose is clean with hints of cherry juice. On the palate, it is medium to full-flavored with attractive black cherry, cherry pit and kirsch notes. The texture is wine-like with judicious frothiness. Overall clean with just a hint of savory sassafras.

This dessert wine has 8.3% residual sugar.Aromas begin with honey and grapefruit.  It is full bodied and sweet with apricot preserves, quince paste, candied grapefruit, parsley and fresh herb notes.

Namazake (**unpasteurized sake) is best drunk as fresh as possible, ideally in spring, immediately after its winter release. The rice is grown in the limestone rich soils in Yamaguchi, made with water that flows over the limestone creating a complex and rich sake with higher than usual acidity, fresh fruitiness, a creamy body and crisp dry finish. Notes of juicy watermelon, kaffir lime, pear and cucumber. Great food sake! **This sake is kept in our fridge on the bottom right hand shelf.
