This dry red blend is Bordeaux-like, but quite fruity with flavors of plum, red cherry, black raspberry and blackbery. It is medium weight with crisp acidity, a pleasant tartness and moderate tannins. You'll also find light smokiness, some black pepper and lingering blueberry notes. Overall, this wine is nicely harmonized and a great food partner.

Clean aromas of blackberry and cassis are joined by Shiraz spice on the nose. Flavors are fruity and somewhat soft on the entry. This is more red fruited than you might expect, with leather, spice and light toast combining with perfectly ripe fruit.

Dense ripe plum, black olive, blackerry bramble combine for a youthful nose.  The palate is a touch tart and is rounded out with baking spice and vanilla. Pair with classic beef brisket or seasonal smoke meat.

Ripe and satisfying raspberry, cherry and baking spice begin this elegant textured wine. Soft tannins and persistent acidity support a fruit-forward finish.

"92 POINTS - The 2014 El Nido is 70% Cabernet Sauvignon from 35-year-old vines and the rest Monastrell from ancient vines fermented in the same way as Clio, starting in open-top, 4,500-liter stainless steel tanks with neutral yeasts and finishing in brand-new French and American oak barrels, where it also goes through malolactic. Aging in those new barrels lasted for almost two years. This is always quite ripe, and the Cabernet never shows any pyrazines or herbal aromas; there are plums, blackberries and a balsamic touch. This is full-bodied, powerful, concentrated and generously oaked. Bodegas El Nido was founded in 2002 and is part of the Gil Family Estate. The vineyards are comprised of 64 acres of old vine Monastrell, and 45 acres of 2- year old Cabernet Sauvignon. It was aged in barrels for about two years. This wine is big, complex and generous.

Medium aromatics include black pepper, cassis, blackberry and a touch of smokiness. Lovely velvety structure on the palate leads to cooked berry notes, cola and spice with lingering smoke on the finish.

Aromas of red and black currants, smoke and black pepper are classic for this variety.  This is medium in weight with blackberries, plums, espresso and lingering wood smoke. The fine tannins, integrated acidity and forward fruit make this an accessible wine.

Black currants and cocoa mingle on the nose and are reflected on the palate over fine tannic structure and lifted acidity. Touches of clove and coffee linger with tobacco leaf and dill on the finish.

This medium to fuller-bodied blend from old vines offers rich, berry-forward notes with subtle, integrated touches of spice and smoke. It’s characterful, but not overdone, so you can enjoy it immediately, with or without food.

This South African Cab Suav smells smoky, oaky, and rich with black fruits. The palate has a lovely smooth texture with blackberries, black currants, tobacco, and smoke, finishing with fine tannins and lifted acidity.

This bold red features rich, smoky black fruits such as currants and blackberries along with graphite, dark chocolate, toast, black pepper and singed herbs. It is full-bodied with velvety tannins and integrated acidity.

This is a powerful style of Bordeaux that also retains elegance and finesse. On the palate you will find rich ripe plum, raspberries, blackcurrant, ripe cherries, and showcasing subtle cedar notes, and baking spice. This is a delicious wine with integrated fruit and spice with a velvety texture and long finish. The palate showcases older oak, raspberry jam, leather and black pepper with a slight dark chocolate note.

Aromas are big, smoky, and spicy with blackberry, dark chocolate, and a hint of licorice. The palate has a nice lift and acidity, with flavors that match the aromas, including the pepper and blackberry. Medium plus in body with a persistent finish. The wine spends a year in American and French oak, with a further four months in bottle.

This delicious red opens with deep aromas of smoke, tobacco, raspberry and blackberry with chocolate and coffee. Plush flavors of blackberry, black cherry, and fruit leather lend a touch of cola sweetness that is a nice counterpoint to the soft, fine tannins.

This bold and elegant Washington state Cabernet Sauvignon is quite aromatically forward with black fruit and berries, tobacco, wood spice, and herbs. The palate is quite spicy and follows the aromatics with sweet herbs, bay leaf, cigar box, black pepper, cola, and loads of dark fruit. Well balanced and full bodied with excellent texture.

From the producer: Dark ruby-purple, this wine has deep, alluring aromas of blackcurrant and black plum that are layered with expressive notes of dark chocolate, espresso, and perfume of lavender. Supple, concentrated, and seamless, the palate displays vibrant fruit with undertones of tilled earth and sea salt. Firm, integrated tannins provide a structured backbone to the opulence of the wine, finishing with a lasting, powerful impression.

This is a very aromatic wine, with fresh dark cherries and plums and a touch of pepper and bark. In the mouth, this is juicy, fruity (raspberries, figs, plums), and well structured by round tannins. It is complex, with a touch of savory dried herbs and woodsy notes, hints of coffee and chocolate, and a great mouthfeel. It’s definitely food-oriented, though it is also pleasurable alone.

A stylish red that's fresh and focused, showing expressive aromas and flavors of blackberry, dried lavender, espresso and iron in a well-knit, medium- to full-bodied frame. On the nose, this wine gives aromas of dark fruits and toasty oak. It is medium plus in body, ripe and concentrated, yet stays refined and fresh. Fruit of macerated black currants and spiced berries are joined by flavors of mocha, chocolate, toast, mulling spices, cinnamon and black pepper. It has round tannins and integrated acidity.

From Decanter Concentrated autumnal fruit offers a hawthorny bramble of blackberry and bilberry. Big-framed, muscular tannins are joined by plenty of acidity - it's very clearly built to last and confident in its ability to reward those with patience. Matured in 50% new oak. From the producer: Lynch-Bages 2015 has a brilliant, deep colour with purple hues. Its nose clearly expresses aromas of cassis and dark fruit, mixed with the empyreumatic notes that come with ageing. It has a straightforward attack and a voluminous yet supple mid-palate. The wine has a marked but silky tannic structure, and a persistent finish illustrative of a particularly ripe vintage.

"Jean-Michel Laporte (previously at La Conseillante) arrived as technical director in 2018, just as this wine was being bottled, and it's not a bad vintage to usher him in to the world of Château Talbot. I drank this at friend's house a few months ago, and it had been open 24 hours by the time we were pouring it out, which just might be the ideal time, as the tannins were soft and open, and everything felt plush and welcoming. It has the balance of the appellation, the precision that Talbot has increasingly showcased over the past few years, and a sappy feel to the tannins. 50% new oak. Aromas include ripe red cherry, black cherry and plum and a whiff of pink peppercorn, and bergamont. The palate is soft and bright with juicy red fruit of pomegranates, red currants and cherry. The palate also has light black tea, thyme, with potentially light oak influence. You could drink this lighter-bodied wine slightly chilled or as a great affordable alternative to Gamay!

Barrel-influenced aromas of vanilla and smoke combine with blueberry, black currant, and darker fruit like plum in this aromatically intense Tuscan red blend. Flavors are full and generous, delivering dried herbs, licorice, and fruits similar to those on the nose. This tastes gorgeously Italian but also cool climate.

Aromas of cooked black berries, black olives, rosemary, yeast and rye bread jump out of the glass. This wine is medium-plus in body with ripe, but not heavy, fruits of black currants and black cherries mixed with rosemary and thyme. It is juicy and fresh with a light oak influence.

This wine is complex with tertiary notes that layer with wood spice, touches of earth, dried mushrooms, plums and black cherries. The palate echoes the aromas with savory flavors that support its structure making it a lovely wine for just sipping or pairing with food. This wine has medium acidity on its medium frame and it plush without being rich.

Aromas include ripe dark cherry, coffee, and a touch of smoke. The flavors echo the aromas with earthy blackberries, ripe black cherries and barbeque notes. This is ripe, savory and robust, yet stays balanced with a velvety mouthfeel.

On the nose and the palate the fruit is nicely ripe with black plum, blueberry, mixed cherry and blackberry. The palate has good intensity with plenty of lift, made more complex with notes of dried violets and a spicy finish. This medium-plus-bodied wine is complex and balanced; though it is fruit forward, it offers nice oak quality and blended spice.

A cabernet sauvignon with good density that is accessible now but could also age. There are stovetop cooked blueberries and raspberries that mingle with smoke. The intensity on the palate is good with blueberry or blackberry jam, moderate black pepper and smoke with seamless texture that is round medium tannins and medium yet still juicy acidity.

MC² is a blend of Merlot, Cabernet Franc, and Cabernet Sauvignon and is our fan-favorite red blend meant for everyday consumption. Each variety and vineyard are picked, fermented, and aged separately and combined after 10 months of ageing in barrel before bottling. In 2023, this blend was 63% sourced from east Seneca Lake and 37% sourced from west Cayuga Lake, with 51% of the blend being from our estate vineyards. With the varying topographies, soils, vineyard age, and varieties planted, the blend truly encapsulates the season from mid-September through the end of October.

Smoky and spiced aromas mingle with ripe and pleasantly cooked blackberries, black cherries, and plums, and invoke that classic rich and concentrated Napa blend. The dark berries continue on the palate with notes of coffee and chocolate, the richness balanced by enough acidity to keep it fresh through the long finish.

A rich garnet red in color. The nose offers blackcurrant and blueberry with hints of green pepper and balsamic flavors. Fluid with a full flavor, it’s juicy in the mouth with firm, finely grained tannins and a relatively solid character.

Aromas include black cherries and a touch of smoke. The palate is medium-plus in body with well-integrated plum and blackberry flavors as well as echoes of the aromas. Refreshing acidity keeps it balanced with touches of dark chocolate on the finish.

The nose offers dried strawberries and cooked cherries with dried flowers and herbs. The medium-bodied palate is similar to the nose, with dried cranberries, cherries, and dried flowers. The texture is silky with very fine tannins; acidity is lifted. The wine is ripe but not overripe; it’s lightly savoury like an Italian wine but with New World fruit.

Graphite, bittersweet chocolate and blackberry greet the nose with light cedar and smoke. The texture is supple and integrated; pretty but not aggressive with black pepper, stewed black fruit and lingering butterscotch. The finish is long with a gorgeous texture and medium minus acidity.

Aromas include cassis, blackberry and touches of smoke and pepper.  The palate offers nice intensity with mulberry, cassis and blackberry flavors supported by sleek, supple tannins, black pepper, and a touch of smoky graphite/earthy-minerality.

Beautiful nose with such ripe and fruity notes of dark berries, sweeter blueberry compote and cocoa. The bit of Zinfandel adds to the flavors with smoke on the finish, black pepper and some cigar. This wine is smooth with soft tannins and balanced acidity.

From the producer The 2023 Cabernet Sauvignon comes from our consistently favorite sites for cabernet sauvignon: our estate Davis and Caywood Vineyards, as well as our longtime grower partner Standing Stone Vineyards. These sites have two distinctive soil types, Honeoye silt loam and Valois gravelly loam. The Honeoye series consists of very deep soils formed in loamy till that are consistent with the steep soils on till plains, ridgelines, and drumlins in the area. The Valois gravelly loam soils are also very deep, very well drained soils formed of shale, siltstone, and sandstone. 

This aromatic wine gives cherry and strawberry, fruit leather, spiced and cooked cherries with pomegranate juice, blood orange and some incense notes. The palate has a bit of mulling spices and a touch of dehydrated fruit with good balance, easy texture and a velvety smoky finish.

This Napa Cabernet Sauvignon smells of black tea, black currants, and macerated dark fruits such as black cherries and plums. The palate is elegant and medium in body, presenting more black tea, black cherries, some smoke, spice, integrated acid, and fine tannins.

"The 2020 Coyam is a blend of 38% Syrah, 37% Carménère, 8% Cabernet Sauvignon, 5% Carignan, 4% Garnacha, 4% Mourvèdre, 2% Petit Verdot, 1% Malbec and 1% Tempranillo from the Los Robles vineyard in Colchagua. It was aged for 18 months, 75% in barrels and the rest in and eggs. A rich purple in the glass. The complex nose features nuanced aromas ranging from blackberry to blueberry and currant with hints of cedar and spice. In the mouth, it’s juicy with a grippy texture and delicate, concentrated but relaxed tannins before the lengthy finish. It seems that the healthy biodynamic vineyard was able to withstand the warmth of 2020. An extremely well-made wine that handled the conditions with aplomb."

Ripe raspberries and strawberries greet you on the nose with dark, ripe fruit and a savory hint following. The strawberries continue on the palate, fresh and rich, supported by silky, soft tannins and a little white pepper finish. Totally crushable.

This wine smells of cherry, raspberry and strawberry with hints of smoky currants, cigar box and leather. The palate reveals bold blackberry, dark chocolate, and ripe currants, while baking spices come through on the finish. The oak is well integrated in this fruit-driven, well balanced, lush and deep red, yet the tannins are soft and ripe.

This wine smells rich and ripe with cassis, black plum, vanilla and dark chocolate. The flavors deliver ripe dark fruit, slight smoke, dark chocolate and velvety texture. The fruit is generous on the palate but not raisin-like, with medium acidity and a dark finish.

This light rosé is uber-refreshing with subtle flavors of strawberry, lemon, and juicy watermelon. It is delicate and fine with a cleansing minerality reminiscent of a white wine.

As the name suggests, this rose offers slightly floral aromas of peony and gardenia with a dash of wild strawberry and marjoram. The palate is a heartier style rose that has some structure and light minerality. Flavors of peach and raspberry are full bodied and generous with good complexity and stuffing. Close your eyes and this is reminiscent of red wine.
