This is a wine which shows both density and sharp precision. The flavors range from lemon and lemon peel to flower blossoms, nectarine, white peach, quince and apricot. There is zingy tartness as well as round and chewy elements in this complex Riesling. Some lightly singed fruit peel, minerality and stone combines with lime as well. Quality farming and winemaking is evident.

Good intensity and vibrant with flinty, apple, golden pear, and herb notes along with a subtle creaminess. This is stony, precise, finely-textured and will drink beautifully for many years. It is a classic, yet elegant and pure example.

From the producer:  Pale yellow colour. The nose is still on its reserve but the signature of the limestone marls is very present: citrus fruits, wet stone and opens towards the flower of acacia, even lime blossom over time. Both discreet and at the same time seductive. The energy of the wine felt on the nose is found on the palate. The attack is ample, the wine coats the mouth with harmony and power, opening on a beautiful aromatic complexity of ripe fruit. The typical acidity of this cru is found on the finish, tense and salivating, broad and caressing, under the influence of the clay which brings power and delicacy to the wine. It is a wine that has a very long aging potential!

One of the leading domaines in Bandol, Domaine Tempier is, without a doubt, the most visible producer from the appellation in the U.S. marketplace today. I think this is well-deserved (and a good thing for Bandol), as the wines are at the top of the hierarchy in terms of quality. The estate has been in the Peyraud family for generations and has a long, storied history that’s beautifully documented in Kermit Lynch’s newsletters and book, Adventures on the Wine Route (an absolute must read for any wine lover). Tobacco, anise, earth and garrigue all come through in this wine. Over indulge with the aromas of red currants, smoke, baking spice, raspberry and violets. This is medium plus in body with a full and long finish with some warming qualities and medium plus tannins. This wine is still young but clearly exhibits some age worthy qualities.

This beautiful Otago Pinot Noir is blossoming with aromas of leather, tobacco, some smoke, earth, dried cranberries and prunes, and blackberries. The palate is soft and savory with dried flowers, cola, black tea, medium acidity, and velvety tannins. Silky and complex, fresh and rich, it keeps improving hours after opening!

Bodegas El Nido was founded in 2002 and is part of the Gil Family Estate. The vineyards are comprised of 64 acres of old vine Monastrell, and 45 acres of 2- year old Cabernet Sauvignon. It was aged in barrels for about two years. This wine is big, complex and generous.

Dense garnet in color. Concentrated aromas of black currant, fleshy plum, warm spices, cocoa, and grilled meats. Despite its age, there's still some baby fat here. The wine is spicy, with black raspberry, fruit compote, and savory notes. Medium plus in body and length with integrated tannins.

This wine opens with an alluring nose of floral notes and dark red berries, characteristic of a quintessential Napa Valley Merlot. The palate is supple and polished with a seamless integration of fruit and tannin, enhanced by the inclusion of Cabernet Sauvignon and a hint of Cabernet Franc. The long, vibrant finish highlights meticulous craftsmanship and perfect balance.

A cabernet sauvignon with good density that is accessible now but could also age. There are stovetop cooked blueberries and raspberries that mingle with smoke. The intensity on the palate is good with blueberry or blackberry jam, moderate black pepper and smoke with seamless texture that is round medium tannins and medium yet still juicy acidity.

This Barbaresco is soft and enjoyable on the palate with clean aromas of bright redfruit, freshly picked rose petals and hints of savory spice. The wine’s soft tannins and well-integrated acidity make it incredibly enjoyable when served by-the-glass or with a myriad of rich and/or spicy foods. Blend: 100% Nebbiolo

Ripe black and red fruit including plum and raspberry on the palate. Tannins are medium plus but well integrated, showing aging potential. Fruit, bramble, and spice notes mingle to create a well-balanced wine.

This has a very nice, frothy mousse. It's more of a crisp, clean, minerally style, not very fruity, but not austere either. Notes of lemon, stone and biscuit can be found in this finely-textured, persistent Champagne.

Medium plus aromatics of brioche, lemon curd, fennel/anise, light hay notes with lees, oatmeal, orchard cider. The palate is dry with a soft bead, with baked lemon pastry and apple. A touch of pear and melon mingle with stone and mineral notes, freshened by pinpoint bubbles on the finish.

This winery is solar powered, This is a blend of five vintages from the Cotes de Bar and is 100% Chardonnay. This could be enjoyed by itself or with a meal because it is very versatile. Aromas of melon, brioche, and floral notes, apple flesh, baked biscuits, lemon peel and minerality. The palate is fruit forward but has notes of vanilla and honey. The texture has a bit of a prickle with refreshing star bright acidity. This is exceedingly pretty.

This dessert wine gives luscious, sweet flavors such as candied peaches, honey, caramelized apples, tarte tatin and orange peel, along with attractive white flower and sage notes. It is not heavy, despite its ripeness and is immensely tasty!

This 10-year cognac is not in the style of charred barrels and boozy alcohol. Rather it is gentle, refined, restrained, pure, quaint and wine-like. The flavors are lively, fresh and youthful with hints of orange, salt, stone, laurel and sugar-crusted cookies.

This packs a punch but is soft and gentle at the same time, offering red berry and vanilla malt aromas and a palate of melted marshmallow, coconut shavings, and baked apple. Caramel and dark rustic maple with peach notes. The sweet malt and apricot mix with baking spice and the same peachiness on the palate.

Hints of peach and grapefruit and light notes of pepper and licorice can be found in this refined tequaila. Aged for at least 6 months in very old George Dickel Tennessee whiskey barrels, this Reposado is an expression of the landscape, with flavors influenced by the floral, herbal, and citrus plantings grown at Rancho El Pandillo.

This bourbon from the Hudson Valley smells like butterscotch and maple that shows as sweetness on the palate with a pleasant creamy spicy finish. There are some rye notes and soft finish.
