The 2023 Gewurztraminer is from the Sunrise Hill Vineyard, located in Interlaken on western Cayuga Lake, is one of our longstanding grower partnerships which sits on Lima silt loam soils, a soil series unique in our cellar. This orange wine immediately greets the nose with a ton of complexity and goes through many changes in its time being open. Honeyed floral and sherry-adjacent notes waft out of the glass initially, these fade into oregano, garrigue, roasted orange peel, clove, and other gently oxidative notes within 10 minutes after pouring. The palate begins quite sherry like, with hazelnut, sesame, honey, a singed walnut bitterness, and vanilla, a beautiful soft and sesame-oily texture

Clean with subtle orchard fruit notes, along with citrus and mineral flavors. Asian pear and skin, nectarine and lemon can be found on the palate which is medium weight. This is refreshing and precise, with integrated acidity and a long, mineral finish.

Cherry red in colour with a ruby rim; red fruit overtones present in the nose, it is smoky with hints of liquorice. In the mouth, it is clean, tasty, fresh and balanced. It has a lengthy finish, both fruity and spicy.

Perfumed aromas that draw the drinker in with black cherry, forest floor and mulling spices. This wine is clearly developed and clean with fine tannins and integrated acidity. The flavors are similar to the aromas but a touch brighter with ripe cherry and a touch of smoke shining through.

Made in the traditional method style, this brut boasts a fresh and intense bouquet of golden apple, pear, and meyer lemon. The brioche, biscuit, and creamy yogurt notes are well integrated with the ripe fruit, and the finish is long and lovely.
