Pascal Biotteau Anjou Blanc 2021
You like the texture and the minerality of Puligny, but don't want to spend the money? Different grape but same pleasure. This is classic, attractive Chenin Blanc with quality and style. Spice cookies with cinnamon, stone fruits, white peach, a creamy, waxy texture. Fruits of quince, marmalade and apple. Dry, succulent and savory.

Arnaud Lambert Saint-Cyr-En Bourg Saumur Blanc 2020
This is a rounder and more full bodied expression of this grape than most Muscadet. On both the nose and the palate, it offers predictable tang, citrus, and minerality, but there’s much more. There’s creamy apple, a touch of white peach, and some dried marjoram and lemon thyme. Smooth with a longer finish.

Aromas are clean with pear, honey and some biscuit notes. On the palate this medium-bodied wine is juicy with cantaloupe, apple, honey, white flowers, crushed rocks and candied citrus. The acidity is mouthwatering and the citrussy finish lingers.

Peach and apricot with minerality begin the aromas for this wine. It follows through with more complex melon, green apple and some dried herbs, like dill. Medium bodied, citrus focused with medium acidity and medium aromatics. This wine is high-toned but beautifully approachable Sancerre.

"Karine Lauverjat’s 2020 Menetou-Salon is a lovely wine. The aromas jump from the glass in a fine combination of lemon, gooseberry, spring flowers, chalky soil tones, citrus zest and a nice topnote of fresh-culled grass. On the palate the wine is full-bodied, focused and tightly-knit today, with a lovely core and soil undertow, bouncy acids and lovely length and grip on the very well-balanced finish. This is tasty already, but will be even better with six months out from its trans-Atlantic voyage. Good juice. 2021-2027." View from the Cellar, 91 Points

Francois Cazin Cheverny Blanc 2020
"The 2018 Montlouis Les Argiles is bright, finely cut and remarkably nuanced. White orchard fruit, chalk, mint and white pepper give the Argiles a striking aromatic upper register. The Argiles, which emerges from clay-rich soils, impresses more with energy than the breadth I expected. Perhaps that will develop in bottle. This chiseled, finely-cut Chenin has a ton to offer. Bright saline notes punctuate the finish." -Vinous

J. de Villebois Sauvignon Blanc 2020
This is a classic, well-made expression of the appellation with aromas and flavors of citrus, fresh herbs, and crushed rocks. The wine is medium weight, but the edges are round rather than sharp and there is a density that shows the quality of farming. Rather than only green flavors, it shows depth and complexity with pear and melon ripeness structured by crisp acidity. Notes of flint and limestone lend a strong mineral character to the finish. The complexity continues to develop as the wine gets some air.

Delaporte Sancerre Silex 2020
The plump texture in this complex but approachable white stays focused thanks to the mineral and ginger underpinnings that mark the peach, honeysuckle and quince flavors.
