White

This white Burgundy shows six years’ aging with some nice elements of concentration, roundness, buttered popcorn and pleasant oxidation. The fruit reminds one of apples sautéed in butter and deglazed with a hint of apple cider, as well of flavors of ripe bosc and Asian pear, nut skin and white tea. Medium to fuller-bodied with a creamy texture.

Vincent Latour Cuvee Saint Jean Meursault 2020
This is a quite powerful, classic Burgundy white. Aromas of flint, matchstick, toast and light butter present on the nose. It has a lovely, silky texture with apple and poached pear fruit flavors accompanied by vanilla, oak-influenced spices, flint, earth and mineral tones. Its elegance is especially notable as it breathes - the wine gains complexity as flavors of vanilla, crème brûlée, toast and butter become more pronounced and linger through the the long and satisfying finish.

Simonnet-Febvre Lyres Chardonnay 2019
The nose gives notes of buttercream, vanilla and apple. On the palate, this is classic Bourgogne Blanc -- the apple-pear-lemon fruit is completely wrapped in a judicious use of high quality oak giving subtle flavors of vanilla, spice and light toast. Creamy, buttery notes are present, but nothing is over the top here. This medium-plus bodied Chardonnay is pure and textbook, French style.

Domaine des Marrans Chiroubles Aux Cotes 2020
Aromas are of blackberry, black cherry, soil and truffles. On the palate, this is medium weight and tastes of a wild blackberry patch of ripe berries surrounded by bramble and forest. Due to the older vine age, it shows good intensity, density and complexity for Pinot Noir with wild dark fruits like black currants well-integrated with smoke, black pepper, cinnamon and earth.
