Classic Burgundian aromas include apple, and tree nuts. The palate echoes the nose with more apples and nut skin, touches of tropical fruit and spice.  Fuller-bodied and lightly structured with lingering minerality. Creamy, rich, intense with orchard fruit flavors with integrated acidity and light tannins. 

From the producer: 01/2024: Pale yellow colour. Restraint nose, profoundly influenced by the volcanic soil: smoke, flint, earthy, which eventually opens to more fruity aromas after a long aeration. Very complex nose but a strong originality and identity. The palate at first appears to have a medium power but builds up to a long dry aftertaste. As often in the past, the Rangen Riesling always manages to hide its power in his youth. Harmonious structure, vivacious acidity which finishes with strong salty flavours, adding to the length of the wine. This wine appears to be delicately chiselled and full of energy in a solar and warm vintage. To keep!

From the Producer: 01/2024: Bright pale yellow colour. The nose is impressive, precise, showing wet stones aromas typical from granitic soils, still tighter and leaner than the Riesling Roche Granitique (the younger vines) but eventually opens up with aeration and revealing white fruit aromas. The palate has a mineral density, voluptuous with tension. The finish is dry and long, showing a reassuring richness. The absence of stress in the vineyard can be seen in this harmonious wine that will be capable of good ageing.

An aromatic wine with lots of complexity, floral with pressed roses, spiced plum, licorice and blackberry. The palate shows come baking spice notes such as clove, licorice, and black pepper. More toast and macerated red cherries to finish. It is medium plus and drinking well now.  This is a classic, example of Chateauneuf.

"Jean-Michel Laporte (previously at La Conseillante) arrived as technical director in 2018, just as this wine was being bottled, and it's not a bad vintage to usher him in to the world of Château Talbot. I drank this at friend's house a few months ago, and it had been open 24 hours by the time we were pouring it out, which just might be the ideal time, as the tannins were soft and open, and everything felt plush and welcoming. It has the balance of the appellation, the precision that Talbot has increasingly showcased over the past few years, and a sappy feel to the tannins. 50% new oak. From Decanter Concentrated autumnal fruit offers a hawthorny bramble of blackberry and bilberry. Big-framed, muscular tannins are joined by plenty of acidity - it's very clearly built to last and confident in its ability to reward those with patience. Matured in 50% new oak. A Speyside single malt, blended use of oak from PX Sherry and Oloroso Sherry and red wine casks. On the palate, A sherry-forward whisky with honey, orange peel, dark chocolate truffles, ginger and caramelized brown sugar on the finish.

A Speyside single malt matured in bourbon barrels and finished in Caribbean rum casks. Aromas of honey, nutmeg, shortbread, flavors of apple, lemon, honey, caramel and toffee popcorn. Soft & sweet.

A Speyside single malt, double cask matured in American oak and sherry oak casks. On the palate sweet aromas of treacle, toffee, ginger, dried fruits, candied lemon, fudge, and hints of vanilla.
