Aromas of ripe black cherry and blackcurrant aromas are dominant but there is the essence of smoke. There are flavors of fleshy, juicy blackberry and overripe carnelian cherry with some notes of dried prune. The aftertaste is juicy and round, with firm and ripe but dry tannin at the end.

This very dry wine shows some structure and unique flavors such as parmesan cheese rind, chamomile, orange zest and roasted nuts. The palate has some deeper fruit like peach, cantaloup, smoke and burnt orange. The finish is creamy and almost leesy with a nutty finish.
