Fresh aromatics, of pear, apple citrus and a touch of vanilla. This is very balanced, not over done and elegant with citrus and crème brulee.
This wine has a long history dating back to the 1800's when Cyrus Alexander (for whom the Alexander Valley is named after) is part of the original 9000 acre ranch is the Stuhlmuller Vineyard. Grapes have been planted since 1900 but prohibition wiped out the vineyards. Today this sustainable vineyard produces only Chardonnay, Cabernet SAuvignon and some Zinfandel.
