Earthy aromas include bramble, mineral, cooked berries and plum. The palate is medium-plus in body with red cherry and currant, a touch of underbrush and black fruit supported by sleek tannins and juicy acidity lingering on the finish.
The fruit for this wine comes from a combination of estate vineyards and purchased fruit. All the growers that Alvaro works with farm responsibly. It is fermented in stainless steel and aged for 4-6 months in barrels and wooden vats before bottling.
