Tasting Notes
Château de Saint Cosme sits on the site of a Gallo-Roman villa and has been in existence since 1416. Winemaker Louis Barruol took over from his father in 1993 and began a negociant arm of the business in 1997.  The property has been in the family since 1490 with 14 generations of vignerons tending the historic site. 
Wines labeled St. Cosme (without the word "Chateau") are made with purchased fruit from long-term grower contracts.  They are treated with the same rigorous selection and expertise as the highly rated estate wines and are excellent values that showcase their terroirs.
