Tasting Notes

Aromas of mulberry, berry compote and savory raspberries are appealing. It is medium to full-bodied with cherries and plums, spice, kirsch, thyme and chocolate notes adding complexity. This wine is smooth and quaffable with a long, refreshing finish.  It’s tasty with red meats, hearty stews or vegetable casseroles.

Bodegas Borsao is a winery and vineyard that specializes in Garnacha.  In fact, 64% of their vineyard is planted with Garnacha vines of varying ages. These grapes are harvested from hillside vines that range from 15-25 years old, in stony and limestone rich soils on the slope of the extinct volcano Moncayo. It is fermented in stainless steel and may be consumed young to a few years of age.

Robert Parker called Bodegas Borsao “one of the world´s greatest value-priced wineries."
