Pale looking in the glass, this wine is ripe with integrated tannins and medium acidity. Flavors and aromas are similar with interesting layers of savory bark, sassafras, truffles, and light toast to blend with cranberry, red cherry, and slight milk chocolate. The finish is long and the cherry notes fade pleasantly.
This wine spends 11 months in French Oak barrels and was hand harvested from 32 year old vines. The grapes were slightly dried before pressing.
