Complex old world aromas dominate the nose which touches of rose, sandalwood, leather and smoke all infused with small red fruits like pomegranate narils and red cherry or cherry compote. The palate is lovely with silky tannin structure with the complexity being more subtle than the nose suggested. There is more red cherry but not as ripe and presenting some savory notes of dusty earth and minerality.  This is worth the price and has invigorating fruit with thorough tannins throughout.
