Appealing aromas of red cherry and plum greet the nose accompanied by light bramble and floral notes and a touch of tree bark. Red cherry fruit feature prominently up front on the palate, becoming progressively darker through the finish and picking up some plum flavor. The wine is medium-bodied with rounded tannins and juicy acidity. It is clean and ripe and presents an interesting mineral character in addition to its pure unadulterated fruit. Enjoyable with or without food.

Made from low-yielding organic Sangiovese grapes grown in sandy soils rich in oyster fossils. Fermented using native yeasts and aged in cement vats.
