The nose gives notes of buttercream, vanilla and apple. On the palate, this is classic Bourgogne Blanc -- the apple-pear-lemon fruit is completely wrapped in a judicious use of high quality oak giving subtle flavors of vanilla, spice and light toast. Creamy, buttery notes are present, but nothing is over the top here. This medium-plus bodied Chardonnay is pure and textbook, French style.
