Medium to medium-plus aromas that combine refreshing eucalyptus, licorice root, and birch with black currants and dark plums. This is a juicy red blend with medium weight that carries the refreshing quality from the nose to the palate. Cranberries, pomegranate, and red currants also make an appearance, leading to a pine-laden finish.
Red Heads Studio was begun in 2004 by a bunch of Australia garagistes as a revolt against the commercialization and lack of experimentation in the Aussie wine industry. They bought a bar called Red Heads and as they grew larger, they kept the name. It currently serves as a processing facility for small winemakers as well as provides stock for a direct-mail UK importer. It is run by Justin Lane.
