Red currant, rhubarb, raspberry and tangerine aromas. On the palate this is a very refreshing sparkler with notes of raspberry and strawberry, blood orange and minerality. It is dry, crisp, and complex.
WINE INFORMATION
In 1698, Balthazar Albrecht migrated from Thann to Orschwihr in southern Alsace and began making wine. Today the eighth generation of the family continues the tradition. The property contains holding in three Grand Cru vineyards as well as less exalted sites, and all wines are made with estate fruit. Seven varieties are grown, six whites and Pinot Noir. Several types of bottlings are produced: Tradition, Reserve, single-vineyard Grand Crus, dessert wines (known for their excellence), and Crémant (both Brut and Rosé). The house was a pioneer in producing sparkling wine, starting in 1971; by 1976, thanks to their efforts, Crémant d’Alsace became an AOC.
