Tasting Notes
95 points Decanter
Seductive and complex nose, typical Mediterranean expression of warm berry fruit, cherries, blackcurrants and plums. Explosion of fruit on palate with roses, chocolate and vanilla, silky tannins and racy acidity. (3/2017)
Since 2007, the sources of fruit for the Les Terrasses cuvee have come from old vines or Velles Vinyes in Catalan. Starting in 2011 the blend has changed to only indigenous varietals - Garnacha and Samso.
All fruit is hand-harvested. The estate vineyards are farmed organically and biodynamically, with the soil worked by mules. The grapes are destemmed and sofly crushed. Fermentation is in stainless steel, cement and large wooden vats. The wine spends12 months in French oak.
