A serious and lovely retsina that resonates with the classic style but the resin is more subtle. Aromatically there is tart green apple, crunchy pear and fresh herbs. The palate is zippy and powerful with the resin coming through but also with a beeswax texture and aloe. Further flavors of thyme, parsley, white pepper, lemon pith, and lime zest. 

This Markou family wine comes from 60-year old, dry farmed vines. The pine resin comes from Aleppo pine trees in the Corinth forest.
