Intense but graceful aromatics of grapefruit, nettles, gooseberry and green grass fill the nose. The juicy, mouthwatering palate displays kiwi, green peppercorn, lime, grapefruit and chamomile, while the finish reveals a steely acidity dressed with minerality. Medium in body, dry, and refreshing! Don't serve too cold.
Sauvignon Blanc berries were harvested from eleven different sites from the Marlborough sub-regions of Lower Wairau, Rapaura, and Southern Valleys. Individual lots were gently pressed and cool-fermented in stainless steel. Mohua is a wine of lines produced by Peregrine Winery.
The Mohua is small, colorful bird that can only be found in the forests of New Zealand's South Island. They are classified as an endangered species. A percentage of sales of the Mohua line of wines go to fund conservation projects of the Mohua bird.
