This wine is fermented in tank and aged in cement, preserving the freshness and vitality of the fruit. The nose offers macchia Mediterranea, the smell of the coastal scrubland, as well as morello cherry, kirsch, pressed roses, gingerbread, molasses, and plum. Flavors are of red cherry, raspberry, a touch of black olive and minerality. The body is medium weight with nice acid and soft tannins, rendering it versatile with food. This is not a big wine, but has great personality and appeal.
