Nice aromatics, with earth notes leading to perfumed dark fruit. The palate is juicy, textured, and concentrated with, cherry and blackberry and cola notes joined by hints of toast and vanilla.
Ciconia is the Latin name for the white stork whose habitat is the forests and woods of Alentejo. Most of the storks migrate during autumn to Africa, and return to Alentejo in December to make their nests. In June, the new storks fly for the first time, flights that will normally last 33 years. They mate with the same partner during their lifetime.
Alentejo was first planted to grapes in 1000 BC and this vineyard was planted in 2001. It is a hot, sunny region. This wine was aged a short time in oak.
