Aromas of black currants and dark chocolate lead to a medium plus-bodied wine with ripe and concentrated fruit that manages to stay refined and fresh. The fruit is reminiscent of morello and black cherries and macerated plums, joined by notes of hazelnuts, mocha, saddle leather, Mexican chocolate dust and savory molé. This Cabernet Sauvignon shows some restraint from a high elevation site with its cool evenings and is slightly aged. It's unfined, unfiltered and was aged 13 months in 80% new French oak and 20% second use French oak.
