Tasting Notes

This wine begins with aromas of dark berries intermingling with hints of potpourri and sassafras. On the palate, it opens up with about an hour of air, revealing a medium-plus bodied Pinot with smoky and candied black cherry and blackberry fruit, along with pepper, violets and more sassafras. Acidity and tannins are moderate. It finishes with a savory note of tree bark/forest matching the ripe fruit.
