Tasting Notes

Aromas are rich with darker fruits, oak, earth, tobacco and spice. Medium bodied on the palate with black currant, espresso, graphite and more earthy-tobacco notes.  2016 was a great vintage in Bordeaux and the depth of this wine echoes that.  A great partner to a savory meal!

From the Producer: Exceptional vintage, rich and structured, specialist wine but also amateurs in search of meaning. Wine contest that remains accessible. From plots for which we do even more specific work as thinning, harvest in green. Aged in French oak barrels with the finest grapes. Cherry red color slightly evolved, very complex nose, iris powder, dried banana, violet, toasted tip, very ripe strawberry lots of freshness on the attack. Sweet tannins, fruit cone flavor accompanied by a hint of oak. Elegant and complex wine, very beautiful aromatic length.
