Aromas include crushed red raspberry, white pepper, and a touch of fresh leather. The medium to fuller-bodied palate continues with more red fruit, mixed cherries, cherry pit, cinnamon and smoky minerality supported by smooth tannins with a touch of drying grip on the finish.
WINE INFORMATION
Le Paradou is a project created by Alexandre and Frédéric Chaudière whose family produces some of the most respected wines in the Ventoux at Château Pesquié. Paradou refers to the old watermills that once dotted the landscape in Provence. Grapes are sourced from younger vines (10-60 years old) in the Rhone Valley from producers that follow the Terra Vitis guidelines for sustainable farming.
The vines are grown on clay limestone and gravel slopes at an altitude of 200-300 meters. The Chaudière brothers seek to capture the higher-elevation style of Grenache with Le Paradou: more aromatic and refreshing style.
Grapes are hand harvested, destemmed and fermented and aged for seven months in concrete to preserve its aromatic charms and crunchy fruit flavors.
