Tasting Notes

Aromas of red fruit with a kiss of toasty oak and some earth notes. The flavors are also red fruit dominated with savory and spicy (cinnamon) notes. Medium to light in body with a medium plummy finish. The acidity is quite integrated but present and the tannins are soft.

This wine is sustainably farmed from a single vineyard in Casablanca, Chile, planted in 2004. Located 60 miles (100km) north west of the country's capital, Santiago, this cool coastal region is suited for more cold climate viticulture. All fruit is hand harvested, fermented in stainless steel and then aged for ten months in a combination of new and used French oak barrels. After bottling the wine is aged for about 9 more months in the bottle before it is released.

Prisma is a collaborative project between Brazos Wine Imports and Grupo Belen which began with the idea to showcase the unique terroir of the Casablanca Valley.
