Tasting Notes
A potpourri of cooked black fruits, cinnamon, clove, dried flowers, and cocoa rise from the glass. This wine leans toward full body, yet higher acidity keeps it refreshing. Along with the flavors from the nose, the palate shows notes of mocha and licorice root. This is an appealing California red that will hold your interest and impress you with its balance and deliciousness.
This is a project of Andrew Jones, a nursery man and self-taught winemaker. Grapes come from several of his clients. The wine is aged in 25% new oak.
