Tasting Notes
Cederberg in known for the balance of fruit and acidity in its Chenin Blanc, and this vintage is true to form. The nose is bright, loaded with grapefruit pith and tinged with melon and other citrus fruit. The palate is crisp and dry, with peaches on entry, pears and grapefruit through the midpalate, and a long finish that carries notes of apricots and blossoms.

The grapes for this wine come from a vineyard planted in 1978 as well as from some younger vines. The slopes face south, and consist of lightly structured Glenrosa (sandstone) soil. The vineyards are sustainably farmed. Grapes were harvested by hand between 5:30 and 9 am, gently pressed and the juice settled for two days. It underwent cold fermentation in stainless steel tanks for 24 days. There was no malolactic fermentation.
