This wine is well crafted with interesting and lovely aromas. The nose starts out with a combination of blackberry, plum, earth, lovely mineral and baking spice. This is just over medium bodied with flavors that match the nose. Darker fruits especially, like wild black raspberry, plums and black cherry, mineral components, savory flavors, moderate and very fine tannins and juicy acidity that makes this wine supple. This would be right at home with sausage, duck or a combination like cassoulet, or simply by itself.
