Syrah dominates the aromatics of this blend, featuring black pepper, dried cranberries, raspberries, wild blackcaps (black raspberry), and tree bark.  Dry and medium-weight on the palate with a lingering savory quality.  Flavors of black currants, black pepper, and bitter dark chocolate come together, leaving you with notes of warm spices.

Atwater Estate Vineyards and Winery is located on the southeastern shore of Seneca Lake in the heart of Finger Lakes Wine Country. Their vineyards are located in what is called the "banana belt" of Seneca lake, named for the fact that it is one of the warmest microclimates in the Finger Lakes, aiding in the ripening of grapes.
