Tasting Notes
Elegant aromas of violets, fresh white peaches and red raspberries. On the palate, the wine reveals a bright, faintly tart acidity that is well-woven into the wine’s fruit character and depth. As classic from the appellation, one finds floral notes of violets and lavender, minerals layered with spicy cherries, raspberries and cranberries. Medium bodied with soft tannins and a long finish.
As dictated by French law, all grapes in Beaujolais are harvested by hand. Vinification is natural and traditional: whole cluster fermentation in stainless steel and cement tanks. Then the wine is aged in old foudres (large oak barrels) for 13 months. After that the final blend is created and the wine goes to bottle 3-4 months later. The wine is bottled unfined and unfiltered, without the addition of sulfur.
