This fresh and refined white Burgundy has lovely aromas of toasted hazelnuts, pear, lemon, and green melon. The palate has plenty of minerality alongside flavors of almond, green apple, fennel, and citrus fruits. Medium weight with bright acidity and nice depth.
Saint-Véran is located in southern Burgundy, in the subregion of the Maconnais, and borders the appellation of Pouilly-Fuissé. They share similar soils of chalk and clay. This wine is unoaked but rests on its lees through the winter and is bottled around Easter.
