Aromas are of cooked red cherries and dried herbs. On the palate, you'll find this wine medium in weight, just a little heavier than a Pinot Noir. There is some fresh red cherry fruit and macerated cherry combined with savory herbs, stone and minerality. This wine isn't oaky or spicy; it is fresh with supple tannins and medium acidity.
Lauren’s amphora-aged wine is a blend of Romé Tinto, Garnacha, and Jaén, grown on slate, on very poor soils. Fermented with native yeasts in French oak eggs; aged one year in cement amphora. Sulfur is used only at bottling, and there is no fining or filtration.
