WINE INFORMATION

Adorning every label of Rapaura Springs wine is a simple symbol – a circle of rocks that signify the pure spring in the winery’s home vineyard in the heart of Marlborough, New Zealand. The label and the name represent their connection to the pristine waters that collect high in the Southern Alps and are gradually filtered beneath the region’s braided rivers, refreshing the deep underground aquifers that feed the vines, and bubble up in their own Rapaura Springs. The Rapaura Springs run through the winery’s property and, in addition to be a life force for the vines, they are a daily reminder to protect the water and land that make the Rapaura wines exceptional. It is because of this that Rapaura Springs has a strong commitment to sustainability.

Rapaura Springs is owned and operated by two Kiwi families: the Neylons and the Wiffins. Their classic line of wiens captures the most vibrant varietal flavors in a bottle.

2021 was a memorable vintage in New Zealand: the earliest and shortest on record. Although there was not a lot of fruit, the quality of it was outstanding.

Grapes for this wine were selected from a variety of partner-growers. Upon arrival to the winery after harvest, the fruit was gently pressed and batch by batch fermented at cool temperatures in stainless steel vats.
