This is a non-interventionist style with light oxidation and quince paste notes leading to flavors of nut skin, lanolin and orange peel. The mouthfeel is round and the finish is persistent.
WINE INFORMATION
This estate is run by Andrée Trapet, Alsatian-born wife of Jean-Louis Trapet of the famed Domaine Trapet Père & Fils in Gevrey Chambertin (Burgundy). She runs it with the help of her husband and their two sons, Pierre and Louis. Andrée seeks to make a drier style of wine with aromatic intrigue and pure terroir expression.
Grapes come from biodynamically farmed vineyards in the Alsatian villages of Riquewihr and Beblenheim, including Grand Crus Schoenenbourg and Schlossberg. Minimal sulfur is used. “A minima” aims at purity with minimal intervention.
